    PA boys

saw a ton of doe and a few nice bucks including a massive drop tine. No shooting though. I was hunting in the Depot
  5. well said spend the time with your dad. You can go hunting the next day by yourself
  6. I would get the mcKenzie 3d targets with the scoring rings, Moswt realistic ones out there, they are like 200 and above though. Alot of people use the glendale, but that's basically like shooting into a block target with a head and tail. Not very realistic shooting at a deer that big.
  7. what even happened? I think those hazing rituals have gone way too far. Get caught hazing you should be banned from playing anything.
  8. I couldn't find one either in RT so had to settle for MO
  9. I'm sure this was on here before but it cracks me up. Red Neck vs Game Warden A redneck fisherman was stopped by a game warden recently with two ice chests full of live fish in water, leaving a river well known for its fishing The game warden asked the man, "Do you have a license to catch those fish] "Naw, my friend, I ain't got no license. These here are my pet fish Astounded, the Warden says: "Pet fish?" Yep. Every night I take these fish down to the river and let'em swim around for a while. Then I whistle and they jump right back into this ice chest and I tak'em home That's not right! Fish can't do that!" Screamed the Warden] The redneck looked at the game warden for a moment and then said, "It's the truth. I'll show you. It really works." Okay, I've GOT to see this The redneck poured the fish into the river and stood and waited. After several minutes, the game warden turned to him and said, "Well Well, what?" said the redneck When are you going to call them back" Call who back The FISH " What fish
  10. they changed here too about the first week in September, right after they shed the velvet. Now I'm not seeing much buck activity on the cam, but seems the does I was not seeing are now around everywhere.

  12. Looking for some good whitetail books that will make for some good reading. Not like a 101 book or anything, but something that will be worth reading. What are some of your fav's? Thanks
  13. I know this was brought up before on good reading material and stories on the turkey. Someone recommended and book they say was a must read about some guy who maybe raised some turkeys and was also a big time hunter. Anyone remember the title or have any other inputs on a good read. Have a lot of reading time on my hands these days and the magazines just aren't getting it done. Thanks

    I got a buck

very nice buck bud, congrats. P.S when you get old enough to drive watch those police down there in Goldsboro, I get pulled over everytime through there for some reason.
  15. I've only taken one deer before where someone was in the stand with me, it was a straight under the stand shot and it dropped the deer in it's tracks, we did some celebrating. All of my other deer harvests I was by myself and was pumped up but did not yell or anything. I was on a turkey hunt with my cousin where we harvested a good bird and defintely celebrated that one as well. While I don't get carried away I definitely enjoy the moment and celebrating with friends.
  16. welcome back, sounds like a fun trip. The countdown is on.

Hey Brad, I shot those Bemans out of a 62 lb bow and they did fine. In fact the 340's are rated for the higher poundage, I believe the 400's are for 60lb and under. (Look at the Beman Spec chart) I don't think the 1 inch difference would effect anything at all. I think they will shoot fine out of your bow without changing anything.
