Re: Getting on stand For me, it is usually 30 - 45 minutes completely ready to go but I prefer even earlier. A few weeks ago, I was going out with a new hunter. We needed to hang a stand so we gave ourselves plenty of time. Everything went a lot quicker than we expected so we ended up in our stands an hour and a half before legal shooting time. That was a bit much...

Could someone give me a good, easy to understand , explanation of cams? I've been starting to look at buying my first bow and I see things like single cam, cam & 1/2, and I'm assuming there is a dual or double cam (?). Anyway, I'm looking to understand this better to help me in making my selection.
