i put it down bout september last year ... i didnt see taht much sign around it or see where tehy were scrapping for it ...i do know some people who have tryed it and had a lot of luck ... maybe the deer never found it
glad to see they found it already ... i have tryed the dry powder that you pour on the groudn before and then water it down ... but i have never had any luck with it
I also like to shoot mechanicals for turkey and small game such as groundhogs .... but i stick with the fixed blades for deer huntign .. dont want to take the risk of having a blade not open on a Big Buck
You can find sheds all year long .... yes some have problem been eaten by animals but some will be left ... i do a lot of rabbit hunting and have found sheds from the previous year as late as november .. some times they are really chewed on but other times they are just bleached out and hardly touched.
I have never shot one either but have come close ... it just something every one wants to be able to say they did .. keep practicing and you will get there
I am with wtnhunt... put up a few stands aif you got them and try and see which one you tend to see more deer at .. you can always move stands if you have to but to much moving of them may be a down fall, you may even try a climber if you have one
