last weekend I spent 3 days at Wild Hog Hunt in texas. first thing im going to say is the people running that ranch they went out of there way to make your trip a hunt to remember and the food was awesome .. I hunted about 16 hours a day, it was none stop action there were so many hogs, That you could be patient and make perfect shots and choose the hogs you took, we ended up taking 34 hogs.. When you were taggged out on hogs there tons of raccon's,possum's and other predator's. we didn't have any luck on the cat hunt ,but we tried theres always next time !!! on sunday I was lucky enough to help another hunter spot&stalk and track his ram which ended up with me breaking off from the group after about 5 hours .. I went down to the lowlands to stalk a hog while I was doing that ,I came across the ram half the ranch was tracking . I waitied for him to turn broadside at about 95 yards, put the crosshairs on the heart, and pulled the trigger on my 22-250 dropped him on the spot .. I sure did enjoy being the one to yell on the radio I got the ram !!! It was a exciting moment specially when isaac walked up and didnt believe I got it . Then he seen it and was excited the 6 hour hunt was over and he was going home with his ram !! Last thing about the trip to this day I dont think I have had as much fun hunting till this trip there were 12 of us at camp and by the second day we all got along like we had been hunting together for years made the trip a expierence I'll never forget !!! heres my hog I took with 357 at about 35 yards this was my first hog of the trip took him at 2:30 am with a perfect headshot right in the ear at 90 yards with my 22-250 dropped on the spot this 1 I took at 9:45pm ish another perfect head shot right between the eyes droped in his tracks with the 22-250 and heres the ram that half the camp put alot of time in and lucky enuff I was able to put the finishing shot on him with the 22-250

Re: Gun\'n For Gobbles #20 sorry team I ve had pc problems on my turkey hunt 3 weeks ago I had 2 hens wreck both my chances but had a great season otherwise next weekend Im going to buy another tag and try 1 more time.. congrats to those who got birds

the waters were rough and the fishing was awesome !!! we went with the charter reel sensations again and they get better and better every year we limited out in 3 hours

Re: beretta es 100 thanks aj for info I ended up buyin it it is the es 100 black synthetic it came with the rifled slug barrel with iron sights along with scope and the 28 inch bird barrel . so far shoots great usin it for turkey next weekend . I paid 425 for it so did i get good deal or crooked?

The draw was terrible on all of the bows that I tried. It may have just been the left handed bows though when it hit the peak it just felt clunky when it rolled over on the cam it was not smooth at all. Congratulations on your new bow. Archerjg [/ QUOTE ] hmmm I will say this I shot xts at 2 different places and for some reason the one shot funky at the one shop and the one I bought shot awesome dont know but I do know this out of all the bows I shot today when I shot the one I bought I knew it was the one for me which I think everyone needs to do get the one that feels right to each person we all cant have the same thing

Shot several bows today and this one is it for me I also talked the proshop into throwing in the XT challenge Banner !! the trykon came close but it has to must of a dump at the end of the pull in my opionion. We will see how it does on the hogs next month cant wait !! heres a pic of the banner

if so I highly recomend Lasak surgury !!!!! I had my surgury a week ago and I cant believe how much I was missing !!! surgury took 3 mins and right after I took a eye exam and was 20/20 !!! hardly no pain and well worth the money !!!

Re: new bowhunting land !! thanks guys for the words of encuragement since scouting yesturday I cannot stop thinking about it !!!

Today was my first trip to my new land I got permission for it hasnt been hunted in 5 years the old hunters broke some landowner rules and got booted . anyway from what the farmer all told me he sees some nice bucks on the property . this year he will have oats in the field till august then hay . the other 5 fields will be corn and beans the first pic is a bad view there is a creak that runs diagonally threw the property there are a total of 7 different fields and a hay field in the middle of the marsh on highground . after scouting it today I think it will be a honey hole come time bow season on the properties surronding this one 2 are swampland with a lake next to one and big woods south of it. camtracker is out so we will see what comes of this spot . Do you think this will be a enjoyable hunting spot?
