Re: Help With Bow... I shoot a PSE Thunderbolt and it has been a great bow. Killed a buck and a doe this year. I think that it is funny, I have friends that have very high end bows and they think that it will help them kill deer.

Re: Skull mount.....any tips would be great... thanks I just got done with mine. I skinned the head, cut off as much meat as I could and then boiled the head for about 4 hours in water and dawn detergent taking the head out frequently to scrape and spray the head with a pressure washer. Be careful with a pressure washer because the nostral cannal is very thin stuff. It turned out very white. After I got that done I made a paste out of borax and coated and packed every part of the skull to preserve the bone. I didn't even use peroxide and it looks great!!

Re: Rangefinder/climbing treestand I have a summit cobra and wouldn't trade it for any other stand. Only weighs 17 lbs. and so comfortable. I also have a Bushnell Trophy rangefinder and love it! Both are priced right and great quality.

I bought a friends omega and read some articles about TC changing the style of the breech plug. Which one is correct? The one I took out of the omega is fairly flat, but the replacements that they have at Sportsmans warehouse is flat around the edge and coned in the center. I didn't know which one I should use. Thanks!

Re: bow sights I just put a Team Extreme sight on my bow. Before you make your decision you might want to check them out. The light system does not shine on your pins and into the woods, but screws into the housing of the mount and only shine onto the fiber optics. Love it!!!

Re: Why different colored vanes? I always had one vane that was what we call the **** vane that was different so you knew how to line your arrow up on a two prong rest, but now that I have gone to a biscuit rest it doesn't matter. I like to use two flo. orange and one white. Easy to see the orange and the white gives you a good color of blood.

Re: broadhead ? Last year I switched to NAP spitfires and they do fly just like a field tip. The one deer last year and the two from this year that I took in archery with the spitfires never went more than 30 yards. I think they are great!

Re: Scopes I have an omega and i just bought a Leupold Rifleman series that is made for shotguns/muzzleloaders and I only paid 179.99 through cabelas. It is a 3x9-40 Heavy duplex and it is free shipping and I got a free cleaning pen with it!

Re: Gloves, question for you Cold weather people. I like to wear a camo pair of the jersey gloves and then put a hand warmer in each hand. Those insulated gloves are just to bulky for me. Now I have thought about buying a pair of those glove/mittons?

Re: Pant or Bibs... I wear scent lok pants and savana shirt during the bow season and then during gun seaason when it's cold out I turn to my Cabelas MT050 whitetail extreme bibs and parka coat with scent lok. They are great!!

I have a friend that is selling his omega just because he wanted a break open ml. The omega is like brand new because it has only been fired about 5 times. Just wanted everyones advice on what they thought? It is the composite stock with the stainless steel barrell.

Re: Best Mechanical Broadhead I have to agree with Hoyt03! Spitfires are awesome! I have not had a deer run farther than 40 yards with spirfires and they fly just like a field tip. I love 'em!
