Re: Shot The Trykon Glad your buddy likes the new trykon. My first impression of it was not the best, I thought it had the roughest draw cycle more then any other bow I tried, even worse then my old Browning. There seems to be a big lump and it dumps off at the end. As the proshop owner said here, its either you absolutely hate it or love it.

Re: Mathews vs. Bowtechs? I have shot both the Bowtech Tribute & Allegiance before getting my Switchback XT. I will say the extra speed difference on the Bowtechs was noticably quicker. But they are both IBO's over 300fps so whats the extra 10fps going to help? An arrow is going to have to get shot out muuuch quicker to be equal to the speed of sound as we all know. As far as noise they seemed pretty equal, but each had their own different sound to them. I didnt really care for the grip on the Bowtechs, it just didnt quite fit my palm as well as the mathews did. The Mathews had a little less handshock too and was the all around smoother bow. Id go shoot them all and then decide

[/ QUOTE ] Before buying it I shot quite a few including the Hoyt Trykon, Browning Illusion, Bowtech Tribute & Alliengence, PSE Diablo, and the AR 31 & 34. None of the bows felt as smooth and dead in my hand as the switchback xt. The Bowtechs where quicker but all around they didnt feel as smooth as the xt to me. I am already shooting some really tight groups with my xt, better then I have ever shot with my old browning. It is one smooth machine.

Re: Switchback? Our local proshop is selling the Regular 05' Switchbacks for $625, used they run $525. A new Switchback XT on the other hand is running $700 around here.

Re: Carbon Express Terminator Selects I shoot the Terminator 4560's and have not had a problem with them. I believe they are 9.5 gr/in so they make for a great hunting shaft. The 6075's are 10 gr/in so if your pulling a little more you may want to look at them. I would definitely recommend them for sure

Re: New Browning Illusion I got a chance to shoot the Illusion when I was deciding on which bow to get. I tell yah the Illusion really caught my eye, great looking and shooting bow. I think it was same price as the switchback xt and to me the xt was a little smoother and had less handshock. If it would have been cheaper I may have considered it more...
