Of all saturdays, I had to work this morning so I didn't get to hunt. I went this afternoon and set up in a pasture. Spent 1st hour trying to get the horses to leave my decoys alone. Had a hen come in later and we carried on quite a conversation but no gobbler today.
If someone wants to trade every year that's up to them.I don't have to keep up with the Jones.I bought a new S2 last year and it will be my bow for quite some time.I'm not into the speed thing anyhow.
Sorting through a bunch of stuff is half the fun!! I usually carry :
turkey vest
1 Old Yeller Pot
1 Power Crystal Pot
1 Silver Queen Pot
1 Lynch World Champion box call
1 Mini Jenny box call
Power Crow call
Primos Slick Stick
2 Sonic Dome mouth calls
face masks and gloves
THEROMCELL
toilett paper
light
extra shells
pen
sometimes a jake and hen decoy
I was using a Whisker Biscuit and decided to try a drop away.I bought a Dropzone and liked it BUT I went back to the WB. For hunting it's what I want on my bow. If it's tuned and the fletching gets a drop of glue front and back I don't have any problems with the fletching.
Yep.It will be at least as quiet as a drop away and no moving parts to give problems.Just remember to put a drop of glue in front of and behind the vanes and you won't have any problems with the biscuit.Remember I tried he drop away and went BACK to the biscuit. There is a reason it is the most one of popular hunting rests. IT WORKS!
I practice out to 45 yards with mine and no trouble. Watch this video, and no it isn't me.I ain't nowhere near that good. like I said,I went to a drop Zone and switched back to the biscuit on my Mathews S2.

I was trying to make the same decision last spring and wound up with one I didn't start out with on my list. A Beretta Xtrema, and so far I love it.It fit me better than the others and seems to have less recoil with the 3 1/2" shells.
I used a WB for several years.I changed to a DropZone. I liked the rest, but for hunting I went back to the biscuit. For hunting it's unbeatable as far as I'm concerned.
loads
I'll start with 100 grains of Pyrodex pellets and 240 Grain Shockwave bullets. It worked good in the TC Black Diamond I had. I've never used he 150 grain powder charge. Most that have say they aren't as accurate as the 100 grain charge. When I get my Pyrodex used up I'm going to try switching to the Triple 7.It might make cleaning easier.
