  2. I did that once.Be careful though. It gives you lots of time to thing about all the things you saw that you don't really need(but want) and even more time to think of great excuses for buying them.SOOOO the next time you go you can spend even more. The same theory works for Cabelas,Bass Pro,Gander Mountain, ect.:D

  4. When I pattern a shotgun I use a big piece of cardboard for backing and put a big newspaper page on it.Then I center the target on that. The newspaper is a cheap way to get the full effect of the pattern on each shot.
  5. Look at the trophy Ridge Flatliner. They are a great basic sight if you like the inline pins.I bought one when they came out and loved it.I bought a new bow last year and out the Trophy Ridge Matrix on it.(Just a fancier version of the flatliner).I like the open view of the in line pins.
  6. What Preacherman said is good advise. Some of the Gander Mountain techs are great and some of them thnk the training course they go through makes them experts.I had one in the Texarkana TX store that didn't know what a cock feather was.LOL:D

  23. I still have an old Redfield widefield low profile 2x7 on an old Rem 700 that has NEVER given me any problems and it has taken some pretty good jolts. I also have a Simmons Atec on a Weatherby Vanguard that works well too. I wouldn't worry about the fixed power being any better and I like the ability to turn the power up and down as needed.
