  1. Re: Free Floating a Remington 700 mountain rifle Let me know what you want for the stock and I might take it off your hands.
  2. Re: Free Floating a Remington 700 mountain rifle Thanks AJ. I was thinking of having the action pilar bedded and then bedding it and floating the barrel. I know I am probably splitting hairs but if it shoots this way from the factory then I think it might have more potential. I have adjust the factory trigger down to about 2.75 pounds but I am also thinking of going to a Jewell trigger to see if I can pick up any imporvements there also.
  3. I have a Remington Mountain Rifle in 30-06 that will shoot 3/4 inch groups from a cool barrel at 100 yards. I was wondering if free floating the barrel might help shrink those groups. I have heard mixed reviews about this because of the very thin barrel. A lot of people have told me that these thin barrels sometimes need a little preseeure on the barrel. What do you guys think.
  4. Re: Double Feeding Piece of ...... We have had one for many years and never had one problem out of it.

  6. Just wondering on everyones thought on the Remington 700 LSS Mountain rifle in 30-06. I have the opportunity to by one that shoots sub MOA groups for $475.00.
  7. Re: Question About A Hunting Knife I use a Buck 110 and I have never had a problem with it holding an edge. It took a while to get the right edge on mine to begin with but once I did I can run it over a stone a time or two and it will be back to shaving hair.
  8. It is probably the smallest caliber that I would use personally. I would limit myself to shorter ranges though. The 44 mag would be a better all around choice to deer hunt with.
  9. Re: Ideas What about a hunt with the Realtree guys?
  10. The Zeiss will probably be clearer but only you can say if the clarity is worth the extra cash. THe last part of your question isn't quite right. Both of these scopes will have a 1 inch tube. The 44mm is the objective lense diameter. It is 4 mm larger which will let more light in. Both scopes should fit in the same height rings.
  11. If you were in the market for a 1911 45acp what brands would you look at first. I really like the 1911's put out by Wilson Combat but they are very pricey. I am just wondering if they are worth the money or would I be just as well off with a Kimber, Springfield, or Paraordance?
  12. Re: Remington 7400 in .243 -- Opinions it's a personal thing for me. I was given one of these brand new by my father and within the first five shots I had two smokestack jams. I cannot stand the 7400. I have a BAR now that has never once given me a problem.
  13. Re: .270 ammo? I shoot Hornady custom 130 gr spire points. They have never let me down when I did my job
  14. Re: .17 HMR or .223 Keep the 223 if you want a 17 then just save you money but the 223 will do everything the 17 will and then some.
  15. Re: Video cameras? I use the Canon Optura 20. It has good battery life, a 3.5" lcd that makes for easy viewing, and it is relatively small. It has 16power optical zoom. Like the others said digital zoom is useless.
  16. Re: 270 win what everyones favorite cartridge .270 Win I shoot Hornady classic 130gr in my BAR
  17. Re: Remington ammo = junk I would check the gun out.
  18. Re: CamCorder I use the Canon Optura 20. The screen is larger and it is a great camera.
  19. Re: Should I sight it in again? I would check it. It will only cost you one shell if it is still true.
  20. Re: Is \"Heart Attack\" still out there? Pic Heart Attack was found dead at the Tecomate Ranch and it was from old age. They do have a buck now that looks pretty similar that they call flattop I believe.
  21. Re: does anyone use a tree arm to video hunts Look up a product called the Hunter Cam Cradle. I think it sells for around 150.00 and is a quality mount that attaches to about any treestand. That is what I use and I love it.
  22. Re: any one own.... I do not own one personally but I have used one over the past few years. My best friend is freinds with Wayne Prejean who designed the stand. He is a great man. the product is now being distributed by Ameristep. I would recommend it fo rcomfort but they are not light.
