    How much $$$

Re: How much $$$ [ QUOTE ] Not as much as I would like to since I'm still in college. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah I can't wait to get out of college...I will go crazy and spend all of my money on hunting equipment...that is if I find a job.
  2. Re: PSE Vengance bow Hey Racey why don't you get one this summer and I will get the Browning Illusion. You know you want a new bow.
  3. Re: NCAA TOURNEY I have to agree with Ryan...GO UNC!!!
  4. Re: !!Questions, all opinions!! Cabelas, I love and hate that place, I always spend too much money when I go there. The closest one is over three hours away and I go atleast once a month if not more.
  5. Re: Practice. I have been shooting all winter, well kind of...I have been shooting in my apartment at school, but I can only get about 15 yards away from the target. I shoot from the door at the living room into my roommate's room. Just glad I haven't missed. I have also been outside to shoot, can't wait till it gets warmer.
  6. Re: 3D Target [ QUOTE ] I have the Glendel buck. It works good. You all will be happy with it. My friends and I tore it up last year haha. [/ QUOTE ] Don't you mean doe (inside joke). So when are we going to get that thing out? I think Brian might be thinking of getting one, then we can have a 3D shoot. I am kind getting tired of just shooting at the Block...
  7. Re: what types of..... Right now I have a homemade climber that I made in Ag class in high school, it is just the platform and you have to bear hug the tree to climb. I think I will be upgrading to a summit climber this year. I also have a cheap ladder stand that I dont really like(too small of a platform).
  8. Re: The Fever Has Already Began HAHA...I have been thinking the same thing. I have less than a week till Spring Gobbler, but all I can really think about is this fall and bow hunting. You are lucky though...I have to wait till October 2 for season to start.
  9. Re: Browning Micro Adrenaline I am also 21, but I am 6' and 160lbs, I have the Browning F5 Tornado and it has worked well for me. I have mine set up at 29" draw length and 55lbs draw weight. The draw length can be changed from 24-30". The draw weight can be from 40-50, 50-60, or 60-70. The F5 Tornado is a little more expensive, but gives you more of a range with draw weight and length. I have not had any problems with my Browning and if you get the Adrenaline you should be happy with it, brownings seem to be good bows to start out with.
  10. Re: Favorite type of...... I use whatever, but I mostly use Mossy Oak Breakup.
  11. Re: My 1st deer Congrats on your first deer/buck.
  12. Re: blinds or tree stands I like treestands for bowhunting, but some people would probably say I hunt from the ground because I only went up about 10ft in my climber that I made in high school ag class (shot a doe when I was only about 6ft in the tree last year). As soon as I get some money, which will be a little while because I am a college student, I am going to buy a new climber and then I will be able to go a little higher. During rifle and muzzleloader season I sit on the ground for the most part.
  13. Re: Duke is done...... [ QUOTE ] Tough to pull for UNC being a Duke fan...but we'll see. [/ QUOTE ] That is my problem...Duke is my favorite basketball team behind Virginia Tech.
  14. Re: Broads Heads Muzzy 100s 4 blade, but thinking of trying 3 blade this year
  15. Re: Duke is done...... [ QUOTE ] Sad day for the ACC [/ QUOTE ] I was pulling for the ACC...looks like I will have to cheer for UNC.
  16. Re: opening day I only have till April 9th...but it can't come fast enough...
  17. Re: Mossberg 835 getting a bad rep. [ QUOTE ] The horse is dead. Lets move on. [/ QUOTE ] I can agree with that.
  18. Re: Crossbows - please only bowhunters reply Here in Virginia, crossbows can only be used by people that can not use bows because of physical problems. There has been talk about a special crossbow season by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, where anyone can use crossbows during a certain period. I think it would be alright for the use of crossbows, but only during a special season. But if I was able to use a crossbow during regular bow season I would stick with my compound.
  19. Re: Totally Distgusted !!! Man that is a shame...I am not sure how much longer I will be able to hunt on the land I hunt...it will probably be developed before I die.
  20. Re: Just got my deer back (pic) Great deer and that is a nice mount
  21. Re: Mossberg 835 getting a bad rep. Oh I forgot to say that hopefully by next spring I will be able to get a Mossberg 835, to upgrade from my old Beretta. I know kracey and we use totally different brands for just about everything (rifle-I have a ruger and he has a remington; bow-I have a browning and he has a pse but they are made by the same people; shotgun-I want a mossberg and he has a winchester) but we don't go telling each other that their brand is crap. We just hope that the other one is successful with their equipment, just as long as I kill the bigger animal...
  22. Re: Mossberg 835 getting a bad rep. Actually 5JumpChump he asked why would they said not to get the 835, not which one he should get because he already got the winchester. So to answer his question...I know the places he talked to and I would say the one told him not to get it because they wanted more money (Habitat), the one thought that the other brands may be better than Mossberg (D&H Guns), and I am not sure why the others would tell him not to. The place he did get the gun from (D&H Guns) seems to be a good place to go to and the guy that told him to get the Winchester seems to try to sell him the best quality for the money he wants to spend (sold him a cheaper gun than what he orginally wanted-Remington 870 with thumbhole stock). But the main thing is that he is happy with the Winchester so far and hopefully he will bust a big gobbler in two weeks.
  23. Re: peep sights [ QUOTE ] I use one too.My toxonics sight has a round pin guard and it makes it nice.I just line the guard up inside the circle of the peep. [/ QUOTE ] That is one way I make sure I anchor at the same spot every time. I am not sure if I could shoot without my peep.
  24. Re: Herd Management with Snipers. Yeah I am a wildlife student at Virginia Tech and I hate when they use stupid management practices like that. Surprised they didn't try to sterilize the deer, relocate, or any other stupid practices like that.
