  1. The land that I hunt on has a big coyotee probem that only seems to get worse every year. This morning around 7:30 I was using a bleat call to try to call in a doe that I knew was in the area last week. After several attempts to call her in a mature coyotee made a bee line in to my stand. He stood there for about 30 seconds and just looked at me. He had been yelping for awhile befor I saw him so I figured there weren't any deer close so I put one between his eyes. What would you have done in this situation? Also sence it was still relatively early in the morning and there were shots going off probibly within 300yards of me 10-15 minutes after I shot the coyotee I decided to stick around in my stand for the rest of the morning. Would you have shot the coyotee and if so, would you have gone home after the shot, or stuck around in hopes of a little deer momvent?
  2. Re: Strange reply, bad law? That seems to be a "grey area" type law. I like black and white, yes or no. IMO stupid law
  3. Re: If unfired, how long can you leave a charge in? I know I'm probibly going to get raked over the coals here for this, but here we go. This morning I shot a coyotee from my deer stand with a T/C scout hammer style in-line muz. The shot in it was loaded almost to the day 2 years ago. I had a fresh primer in it and it went off without a problem.
  4. Re: muzzleloader scope suggestions Depends on what gun you buy and your hunting conditions. If you get a top dollar gun and are planning on shooting anything beyond 150 yards then I would get a decent 3x9. If your hunting in the woods with shots 75 yards or less or shooting a cheap gun then I would go with open sights or a red dot. JMO

  6. Re: What do you do While on Stand I spend a lot of alone time with my maker. I've probibly done more prayer and reflection on a deer stand than anywhere else. There's not too many times that you have 12-14 hrs. in complete seclusion. I do alot of shot selection when I'm in heavy brush so I can visualize where good spots are to shoot. And I take food that doesn't make a lot of noise to snack on.
