Notice how the head here is different than the one I have pictured above. The fixed blades are solid with slots cut in them. Funny how they went from the super slim Hypodermic to this frankenstein.

Here an old pic from 2007. I really like my Mossberg 500. I won it in a raffle from DU and it has a few extras installed from them. I've added a red dot scope since this pic and it's a great turkey gun.

Has anyone seen these new Rage broadheads up close yet? It looks to me like something from the prototype room and they cost $50. I cannot imagine any penetration with these things. I'm definately not a Rage fan but these seem to be a big step backwards for them. Thoughts?

I have a small basket 6 that I use to rattle with. I've had little success but like Zizzler I called in a big 8 point that would not come through a hedge row to get to me. He turned away and went on another property....BANG! Conditions have to be just right for it to work.

Its hard to give advice when I'm not familiar with your territory. Turkeys are funny creatures. One day all you have to do is cluck a couple times and they come a running, the next day you can scream turkey calls and nothing. Are other people hunting the property? Do you have coyote problems? What style of calls are you using? What calls are you making? How long do you sit and call for? Are you fully camo'd?

I'm a 70's southern rock guy. Grew up listening mostly to Skynyrd, 38 Special, Outlaws, Marshall Tucker, BTO, and the Allman Brothers. So these new guys like Jason Aldean, Blake Shedon, Thomas Rett, Kid Rock, Colt Ford and Trace Atkins and the mix of rock that they bring to country radio remind me of the southern rock era. Mix that with David Allen Coe, Bocephus, Garth, and Charlie Daniels and you have something to listen too. Now bands like The Band Perry that gets Muff in a lather (serious man card violation dude) and Taylor Swift can all go jump off a cliff. The era of classic country is gone. Jim Reeves and Loretta Lynn and the slide guitar are a distant memory but can be heard on SiriusXM. Now don't me wrong. I love my classic rock and roll. But most of todays classic rock radio stations just suck and only play the upper crust top 40 stuff. I got tired of the same old thing day after day after day after day. At least with country music there is something new new to listen to.

This past Saturday I finally got to meet my outdoor television heros, Ralph & Vicki Cianciarulo. To say that the two of them were as nice and genuine in person as they appear on TV is an HUGE understatement. I must admit I was a little awestruck and speechless at first but they were so easy to talk to I calmed down some. After we walked away my daughter kept commenting "They were so cool". If you ever get a chance to meet them and hear their presentation/seminar, I highly recommend it. Ps, Special thanks to Tim Andrus for the introduction and allowing us behind the table.

I rarely carry concealed. The only place I make a point to carry is the malls in Syracuse. I have a .38 special derringer that I like to use.

Good luck with that. After my Nockturnal Nock failed and I lost my arrow, I sent them an email asking what I did wrong. They got back to me after about a month.
