Our rifle season opened up last weekend. So far I'm seeing nothing but does. This weekend is supposed to be colder, hopefully something will be moving. Good luck everyone!

Great stories! Our ML opener sounds much like your opening day. I didn't see any deer Saturday neither.

I hit a doe high one time and just clipped 1 lung. Being a high hit and a slow bleeder there was almost no blood and what little I had ran out after 30 yards. Backed out then came back and did a grid search. I found her dead a 150 yards later. Take a friend or a dog with you when you go back. Remember a high hit will take longer to show blood because they are filling up.

That new browning should give out some decent parking tickets. I love my browning BLR. The first day of gun season starts this Saturday with a week of muzzleloader. Does look pretty. 50 mph winds, rain and cold. I may have to pull up the pop up blind so it doesn't blow away. After our ML season it will be 2 months of gun season.

Same here. Try this, get a pack of Lypon onion soup mix (powder). Use the soup mix as a dry rub and rub it in good. Throw the neck roast and any leftover soup mix in a crock pot and cook on low all day. Mmm-Mmmm good!!!!

I went out this morning. It's the last weekend of our N. Zone bow season. It's too warm, 80 degrees. Nothing but chipmunks moving around.
