Re: Arrow rest I've alined all my fletching so they would clear the arrow rest and still the same results.I'm going with a biscut or the trophy hunter.On the subject of the shakey hunter rest-Does that rest keep the arrow from falling off?I know the biscut keeps it inplace.Thanks for the replies.

Does an arrow rest affect shot placement?My shots are not consistant.I'm shooting a two-prong style arrow rest.A friend at work said that it would.he suggested a whisker biscut or drop away.When I started shooting this bow the arrow rest was new and now the black covers on the prongs are wore a bit.

Any good results with the reflex excursion bows?I think they look alot like hoyt's.any differance's.Thanks for the info.fellow bow hunter's.

What are the advantages or disadvantages of spilt limb bows. I want to purchase the reflex Excursion bow.Does anybody have any experience with with the reflex bows? Thanks

Re: PSE Nova? I'm going to order one tomorrow from the local pro shop.My friend just got one from christmas and I seen how great it shoots.His set up is with a 30 inch draw and is shooting 65 pounds.Real quiet too.His has the rimfire cam.It will go up to 70 pounds.

I'm heading for Canada Christmas evening.My girl friend has some kin people up there and has'nt seen them since '86.We're going to make the long drive from VA.to New Brunswick.I hope the weather is good.Don't know what kind of wildlife is up there-never been that far north.I'm going to take some pics.Just want to wish every body on here a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR.Good luck to all bowhunters.Your advice was greatly appreceated.

Re: Local bow shops I feel for you man.We have the best pro shop around.He does'nt try and sell you something you don't want or need.He has his own indoor range with all types of targets and in the off season they hold 3-D shoots.He can order you anything you want if he does'nt have it in stock.He is the man around here.He will give you great advice on anything about bowhunting.He's been doing it for nearly 35 years.Anybody within 50 miles will tell you go see him.

Well the late bow season started here in south central VA on monday and it's been windy as heck so far.Black powder season comes back in on sat.Both season's go untill Jan.1st. So far one doe since sept. 30.First year bowhunting so I'll be ready next year for sure.I let some good does go by this year waiting on that big buck but...Next year it will be-If it's brown,It's down.Good luck to everybody.

Hey people,women do hunt and they look good doing it.This man that my dad knows called the other day and wanted to know if we could come down to his farm and kill some of the deer.My dad could'nt go because he is taking chemo and radiation for cancer.This is the first year that we have not hunted together for about 16 years.Anyway I went to this man's farm and met him and his family.4 daughters -2 that hunt.They said they had so many they needed help.They showed me some stand sites that they had set up(great locations too).I just love it when a plan comes together.Smart,beautiful,camo ladies.Life is GREAT.I love to see women hunting and fishing,I think it's great.Keep it up ladies.Going hunting Friday morning.I think it'll be a all day hunt at that.Maybe more days to follow.

What is paper tuning a bow and how's it done? Thanks for your help.

Re: weight The bow is a pse maruader.It has a 30 inch draw length.The guy I bought it from works at the plant with me.I'm shooting gold tip carbon arrows that are 30" long.does that sound right?My height is 6'4 and the guy I bought it from is the same.he said our reach would be the same.There is a bow shop not to far from me and I'm going to take by there on wed. and get them to check it out.Great forum guy's.

I bought my bow used I don't know the draw weight on it.Is it any way I can check this?The guy I bought it from told me he thinks it is at 80 pounds with a 65% letoff.Does this sound right? I don't think i need that much pounds.

Just went bowhunting for the first time.There's nothing like it.The only deer hunting I've ever done was with a rifle.Bought my first bow back in the summer.A few friends at work got me into this.I'll be hunting with my bow until all of the deer season goes out here in south central VA.I wish I had got into bowhunting at a younger age.I guess it's never to late to start though.Good luck to all this season.
