Re: 7 Rem Mag Question couldn't have said it better myself!! anytime i change from one grain bullet to another i always shoot to see where i'm hitting. i just went to the winchester supreme silver tip ballistic 150 grain and i was told that if i ever switched then to shoot the gun b/c it will throw me off a good bit. so always shoot it to see where you are hitting if you change bullet grains or brands.

Re: winchester super x2 i agree with the benelli over a remi or a winchester. benelli's are light and sweet shooting guns, easy to carry, and i can shoot mine all day with out it woping my shoulder b/c of my sims recoil pad. those things are awsome and make a big difference on guns. if you don't have one you should get one and feel the difference.

Re: 8 yr old daughter would not shoot great story and you got it all on tape!! i get the shakes when i even hear something that may sound like a deer. i always tell my dad a grandfather, when i quit shaking when i see a deer will be the day i quit hunting. my grandfather says he still gets excited when he sees a deer and he's 78!!

Re: DOGS HARASSING DEER we had a hunter experience this this past weekend. he said there wer two dogs running a for sure wall hanger right in front of the stand. every time we go hunting you always hear the dogs barking as if they are running deer every sat. morning that we are out in the woods trying our dangest to put some meat in the freezer. i think if it ever happens to me then i'll have to do something about it like shoot one of them or go make a visit to the owners.

Re: Question about \"The Can\" i mainly use it blindly. i figure if i do it then if a deer is within earshot of it then it may respond to it. i used it this past weekend blindly and a saw a 3 point come in with his head down trying to find the sent of the doe that thought was in the area. that's my guess.

Re: Cartridge Comparison i think i'll stick with my browning 7 mag. seems to be doing the job. why change??
-
Re: rem. 1100 problem i agree with with too_pointer!! if the gun hasn't been broken in it will not cycle the lighter loads. my brother had thie same problem with one of his shotguns. he later sold it to a freind and bought a browning. from there on he's had no problem.
-
Re: 25-06 or 270 go get you a 7 mag and problem solved. find you a good gun smith and let him sight it in for you and you're good to go. i just got my gun sighted in again by my gunsmith and it's dead on!!

Re: Gotta find that Pothole! good luck finding those mallards. i can't wait till i go to missouri nov. 18-23. we are going to the south eastern part hunting rice fields with mo ducks. from what one of my friends has told me there is always a ton of ducks there and you shouold get your limit really quick that is if your shooting is on. hahah

Re: Waders i have cabels waders. theyare 1000 grams of thinsulate and are very comfotable and warm to say the least. i would get the bib type if i were you b/c i don't think that hip waders would be all that warm. i know that cabelas comes in regular or stout depending on your size and boot size. lacrosse and hodgeman waders are some really good waders from what i hear but every pair that i have seen in mags. are very pricey. just may 2 cents
