  6. Re: Note to myself... I sometimes wonder how my wife drives when i am not with her. Once as we were returning from the hospital after my week long treatment for MS I was so nervious at her driving i had to say something. She stopped the car in the middle of the road and said fine you drive. With the onset of MS i had double vison and it was hard to walk let along drive ......... But i closed one eye and drove the remaining 20 miles home ... Quite relaxed and other than her not talking to me the rest of the way home. None the worse for wear.

  21. This morning I went out after getting 4 hours of sleep. My good friend Jeff tagged along as he got his buck the first day and he was up for a visit. We both headed out to a spot where another friend had gotten a doe earlier in the week and since we were a little late getting out stayed on the ground in hopes of intercepting a carousing buck. We were only there about a half an hour when I saw something move about 80 yards off in the woods. A short time later I saw a gray squirel and supposed that was what I saw. Not five minutes later as I looked back at the spot I see a buck walking towards us. I whispered to Jeff "a buck about 80 yards out". And we watched him walk slowly but steady towards us. He than made a left turn and disappeared. I gave two grunts with my mouth and waited but didn't see him until Jeff said there is a deer behind me on the hill. Jeff changed spots with me and we waited until into view came the buck. He mad his nose to the ground and was headed right towards us. At 15 yards he was looking strait through me and than he turned slightly broadside and at 10 yards I let fly my arrow. SMACK!!! "Good shot might be a little back but you got him in the liver at least" Jeff said. We watched as he broke the arrow off on a sapling and than ran 30 yards and stopped. Than off he went. Since we were sure of a good hit and we were on the ground we slowly went to the spot where we saw the arrow break off. "Good blood " Jeff said. So we slowly tracked him to the road and across. Than about 50 yards in I saw him. He was down. For some reason the picture post will not let me in but when I can get in I will post a few pictures. I thank God for his bounty on this Beautiful last day of the Pennsylvania Bow hunting season. I really was blessed to share this hunt with my good friend Jeff and in the camp with my brother Dan, and my friends Stein and Martin and Dillon. This is one I will always treasure.
  22. Re: A truely sad day. The election results are not surprising as people are always looking for a quick fix. No one will have that fix and we will still go on. The thing that gives me hope is I know that God still sits on the throne. He will just get a chuckel out of our flailing around thinking we have the answers. I feel sad that the things I hold as reasons to vote all lost out. And we have two years of nothing getting done. BUT..............GOD is still in charge. Thank God
