  1. Does anyone know if it is legal to kill two gobblers with one shot in MS. Haven't done it yet Just wondering, I've heard a couple of different things. The law states "one gobbler a day" thats what I go by. I know it is legal in some other states.
  2. Re: Realtree Turkey Team #16 Congrats!!! Went this morning after work about 9am I saw about a dozen. Will check on them again friday
  3. Re: Realtree Turkey Team #16 Thought of another name. What about "Dustrolled"???? 20hrs. 35 min. till I'm Legal.

  5. Re: Pattern: What do you think? [ QUOTE ] that is a great pattern, your set [/ QUOTE ] I shoot an 870 with a 21" barrel, thumhole stock, Preston Pitman choke, and a red dot scope.
  6. Shot my 870 the over the weekend. I tried a lot of different loads and the new Fed Flight Control #5 did the best. I shoot from 30yds.(from the end of the barrel with a range finder) I put 55 in the 3" circle, don't know how many are in the outer circle. Probably not the best out there, but more that tight enough to miss a turkey I shoot a Preston Pittman ported choke. What do you think?
  7. Re: Who shoots an 870? I shoot an 870 with a 21" barrel. I've tried most of the chokes out there. Very few guns shoot the same, you have to try a lot of different setups. I shoot a Preston Pittman Ported choke, I shot Hevi-shot #5 1 1\2oz. last year, this year is the new Fed Flight Control #5 2oz(its nice in my gun). Its the best out of my gun. I wish a sporting goods store would allow you to sample chokes and different loads before you buy. Its hard to spend $30-$80 for a turkey choke that shoots like an improved cylinder. Good luck.
  8. Re: really cool turkeys?????????? Got a hen a few years back that had an 8.5" beard. Got her the last year it was legal in MS. Don't want to make a habit of it. I Got a 5 bearded gobbler with my bow a few years ago. I am friends with a man who has taken one with double spurs. There are only a couple registered in MS.
