That's a pretty good one, MXM. Not sure I have ever heard that one before. HB

it's a Hoosierbuck. Haven't been around much for a while. Had one at work that pretty much ate me up for the last year or so. Here is the result, I think it was worth it. Former LaPorte volleyball coach guilty on all counts in sex case Hope to be around a little more for the time being. HB

Barbasol and cheap disposable razors. Aftershave? Rubbing alcohol. Good stuff. It'll toughen up that pretty face of yours. Mine wasn't very pretty to start with. Began shaving in about 7th grade. Electric gave me more rashes than a blade ever did. HB

When I turned 26 on 9/22/1996 I had been married to my bride for about a year and a half, and we were having our first house built. I had graduated law school in May, and passed the bar exam, but I am not sure I had the results yet. I had accepted a job as a deputy prosecutor and was just waiting to get sworn into the bar so I could start working. Life was pretty simple back then. I was on the cusp of beginning the grown-up part of my life. HB

I will NOT be showing my wife, for fear that I laugh about it in front of her and get the cold shoulder or worse... HB

Deer sternum up by the clavicle. HB

That's a dang shame. Can't imagine losing one of my kids like that. Lots of potential snuffed out in one fell swoop. Prayers for the families and friends ...sent. HB

If I send you a couple bucks, will go to the Circle K and buy me a lottery ticket? Glad you two are OK. God was watching over you lest you strike your face against a Chevy. Gotta be more than just a little skill there, too. Good luck on the hunt. Post pics! HB

What a nice send off you gave him, Lewis. I am sure he is grateful. Good job, buddy. Condolences to your family and his friends. HB

In rugby, we had to holler out when we were supporting a teammate, so he would know we were there & when he was about to get pasted he could turn to you and pitch. We had to yell out, "With you!" It was a comfort to hear that when off-color jerseys were closing in. After all that build up... "With you!" HB

Oh man, that's priceless! You don't have to tell him that it's cracking people up far and wide. HB

Big pretty coyote. HB

I can only get out in the early mornings. Along with some howling, we use open reed mouth calls and our FoxPro digital callers to mimic all kinds of distress calls. Most often in conjunction with a small decoy of some type. The last two or three weeks as we were headed in we still saw coyotes up and moving around 10-11 am. You got about 2 weeks left, brother, get after them! HB

I'd say something kinda rotten, but I was raised to respect my elders. Happy Birhtday, Ross! HB

The last few weeks I have been getting out and making a couple of stands. Been calling in some, including a triple that escaped unscathed. (Not my shining moment as a shooter.) Anyway, a couple weeks ago I called one out of a swamp and shotgunned him with Dead Coyote shells. Too bad the little guy had mange. Then last weekend a buddy and I hit another spot and despite high winds, he howled one out of the thick woods long enough to catch a 45 grain .223 and dive back into the woods. She weighed 31# and has nice fur. HB _________________

Our kids LOVE camping. We go up into Michigan every summer, plus other trips with friends and church groups, etc. Kids are never bored playing with rocks and sticks and dirt, running around in the woods, etc. Save some of the more epic trips until they can enjoy the beauty and majesty of the places. Find a nice campground in a different sort of terrain/climate than home, and nearby a cool attraction for a day trip to edify you and mama a little bit, and have at it. That way you can also bank a few pesos for one of the epic trips. HB

I am not knocking on dogs as a means of hunting, just saying that it doesn't seem as effective if you are truly just trying to knock down the population. There is no denying it is risky to the dogs, and yeah, that's what they are bred for and what they live to do, I get that. HB

I would think that you set up a bait station, give it 2-3 days for the pigs to find it, then use your suppressed, NV equipped semi-auto rifle to take them down. Pigs to processor-mostly for donation to the needy, pack gear up and move on. While the pigs are finding the bait at one location, we are off scouting the next 2 or 3. Maybe have a couple or 3 feeders so you can be shooting somewhere every night. Have a camper for accommodations, a truck to haul it all, and a couple guys to keep you company/share the work. Would have to have a network feeding you leads to keep you busy. Would landowners pay for a serious operation like that to roll in for a few days? Say flat fee for showing up and putting in the effort and a per head bonus? Hmmmmmm. Spending too much time thinking about this. Nice diversion from our snow-induced shutdowns up here. HB

I can see one from my office, but have not been to one in a great while. Can't advise on what I would get. Wings are kinda fatty, so not a food I go after usually. HB

I have a 9 year old that sounds suspiciously like that feller you're taking over for. Man that girl is smart! HB

I have been wondering the same thing. Nuisance hogs? Lobby the legislature to legalize nightvision scopes and silencers to be used over bait, if it's not already legal. If it is, DO IT! That would certainly knock down the population by greater margins and not injure dogs. How could that and trapping not seriously dent the populations? I am speculating here as we flat don't have them. I would be willing to retire early and spend the bulk of the winter roaming the south whacking and stacking if I had to do it to serve my fellow man. Somebody that has a clue-tell me what is wrong with my plan before I put in my 2 weeks notice! HB

WOW! That's pretty dang funny right there. HB

That ladder is way cool. I may need to talk to you about that...after you finish this project, of course. Did I mention I really like that ladder pattern? HB

I have your card. I will look you up if I need more calls. Thanks, and God Bless. HB
