Re: blinds or tree stands I have never used a ground blind. I bowhunt out of treestands and sit on the ground or use a treestand during gun season.

Re: Carbon vs aluminum for hunting I have shot carbon and aliminum and my choice would be carbon. I have grouped better since i have shot carbon arrows.

Re: Awesome NY weather! Here in Virginia we have had 60-70 degree weather for the past couple days. It snowed 5 inches two weeks ago and now its 70 degrees.

Re: squirrl hunters I have hunted squirrels since I was 5 years old and still do. I think they are fun animals to hunt. It was the first animal I ever hunted and killed.

How old were you when you went on your first deer hunting trip? Mine was this year. I went with my Uncle,his brother,and my cousin. We went to Amherst VA. We stayed in a small 13x13 one room cabin for a week. I had the time of my life up there though. Just the outdoors and cookin outside and just getting away from the hassles of everyday life.I didn't even kill a deer but I wouldn't trade that expierence for anything. I also learned a lot while I was up there. It rained about two of the days we were there but it didnt stop us from seeing deer . My Uncles brother killed a nice 5 point and my cousin killed a real nice 6 point! I just thought I would share my first time at deer camp. Maybe you guys could share yours too. -DH10

Re: Where do you .. I buy my arrows from a local dealer. He cuts them flethces them the whole nine yards in bout one day.He does good work.

Re: WENT FOR FIRST TIME TODAY I went out yesterday for the first time all year and caught a few big bluegills and thats bout it. Give it a few more days to really warm up and they'll be bitin like crazy!

Re: Crossbows legal in Virginia to anyone????? Kracey- My grandfather and uncle both use crossbows because they are disabled but as long as I can shoot a compound I will.

I read in my local newspaper that in Virgina they just passed a law that allows anyone to hunt with a crossbow not just disabled citizens.Have any of you guys out there heard about this? I'm still sticking with my compound even if we can hunt with a crossbow!
