  4. Re: whats smallest deer youd take with bow? does pope and young have to be with a bow or can it be with a riffle? and whats the boone and crocket website id like to see that one too the pope and young was neat
  5. Re: Cleared out and ready! hutchies take a chains saw and cut slanted down wards on the tree startin from the bottome and up (if you dont plan on useing the tree for hunting ever) and cut all the way up to his stand and make it so he cant see it... as hes climbing up the tree will fall over but make sure you cut it so it doesnt fall on him... because on our land one time some trespassers we seen on our land we kicked em out the next day we went out there they did that to all of our stands... my friends dad didnt see the cuts went up and fell and hit the side of a tree with his head and had to get staples in his head because of trespassers so do it to him he deserves it for trespassing...
  6. Re: First scrape pics what do you have on the trees to make them bite at it like that?
  7. Re: whats smallest deer youd take with bow? i shot a my first deer which was a mule deer that was 142" does that mean he can be a pope and young or w/e?

  15. i was letting my sisters boyfriends younger brother try pulling my bow back and he doesnt shot bow much so he tried pulling it back with his finger infront of the release... he got it bout 3 or 4 inches back and hit the trigger and it kinda dry fired but only a few inches... would this hurt the bow or not? or would it effect the sights at all or anything?
  16. Re: Anyone use Lumenock\'s (pic) may i ask what they exactly are? are they like lights that hook ontop your arrows or what the heck are they!?!?!??!
  17. is it true when you shoot a bow n arrow out of a treestand the arrow will place differently where you are aiming than on the ground? like should you aim a little lower and it will hit higher than you aim... or shoot higher and it will hit lower than you aim?
  18. Re: hunting out west i did last year i live in north dakota and i shot a nice 4x4 it is confusing ondistances in the mountains were ull be prolly but i was in buttes... and if you see a big one with smaller ones and expect them to come out of something and when the 2 smaller ones come out dont expect the bigger one to come out because once they get down into the buttes they are gone with all the gullys out of there and that big buck knows exactly where to go so if you have a shot take it and dont wait for a perfect shot because if you wait you will regret it... i did with a huge buck 6x6 and i regret it so bad...
  19. Re: whats smallest deer youd take with bow? how can you tell the age of bucks? by there horns or what? if so how can you tell by there horns?
  20. Re: calling with the can how many times do you do it when you see a deer? and if he doesnt start coming how long should i wait to do it again or how many times in a row should i do it and how many seconds before each time i call with it?
  21. Re: whats smallest deer youd take with bow? how many deer can you take young buck? because here in north dakota we can only take 1 deer with our bow tag which is why i wait for a nicer buck but i get like 4 or 5 extra deer tags which is all doe tags so anythin without spots id take to for does
  22. any of you use "the can" for a deer call? if so what time of year do you use it and how often in the stand? what does it more attract does or bucks? and does it ever scare them more than bring them in?
  23. Re: Ever used Deer Cane?? i did and didnt have much luck with it so i put whitetail addiction over it and a week later the spot was rippsed up and buck prints all over it
  24. Re: Does everyone have the early bow season fever season opened sept.2nd here and went out a few times... seen a 6x7 5x5 n a 4x4 but none were close enough to shoot tonight im goin and im gonna try and take a doe tonight for some meat for the winter
