Isn't this a "canned hunt"?
The definition of a "canned hunt" is quite vague. One organization describes it as "the wanton slaughter of a “trophy” animal in a small enclosure". Hunting on the Renegade Ranch does not fit the definition of a canned hunt for a number of reasons. The animals are free to roam over 300 acres of natural, un-tamed land with plenty of cover and hiding places. You must actually HUNT for your animal and they can be quite elusive. The animals are not tame and will not approach you. The animals are not chased by vehicles nor are they drugged to make them slower. You are not guaranteed a perfect shot at your prey nor are you even guaranteed to see it. Hunting at the Renegade Ranch is not simple "target practice".
