  8. I usually jus keep up the deep breathes, however i have found if an animal stays in front of me for more then 5 minutes in PLAIN view, i have no problem making a shot its like shootin at the block target draw place shoot:gun1:
  9. the new hoyts are up look at this bad boy All carbon riser radical design but other then that nothing spectacular like speed and such, new limbs are also on the bows cool design on those http://www.hoyt.com/compound_bows/hoyt_carbon_matrix_compound_bow.php
  10. So im sitting here in bed watching a hunting show, when a commercial that most of you have prolly seen for the caldwell led sled, where the man puts and egg between his shoulder and the sled, noticing how he places the egg. ITS ALMOST FALSE ADVERTISING,,,,,,,,,,,,, all eggs are indestructible when even pressure is applied to both ends of an egg its basic physics (thats where i was first shown it) the commercial does not necessarily show how effective the lead sled is however how amazingly effective mother nature. sorry for the random post but it just got me thinkin goodnight :pop: Brad
  11. well guys i spooked 2 bucks when i was walkin out of the woods yesterday, i wont get out this weekend my godmother passed away on tuesday and her funerals saturday, on some other news i was accepted to athens archery fieldstaff but sadly dont have the money for the bow so i'll be sticking with my switchbackxt most likely

  13. hey guys just giving an up date so far ive only been out once. ive seen several small fawns an a doe, my father who hunts about 60 yards away every other nght in my stand has seen a HUGE 8pt roughly 250lbs prolly 140's and a small yet legal 6pt so the outcome is lookng pretty good for the season. Im goin out monday morning and tuesday morning and afternoon and wednesday afternoon so hopefully i get a good shot at one goodluck, congrats on the doe
  14. well today was a decent day got out to my stand with in 15 minutes had 2 lil fawns one was a nicely buttoned, button buck lol him and his sis where out and front of me all afternoon never got further then 35 yards away from me , then before i got down had a mother and 2 lil'r fawns come out i got a lil bored sitting there not shooting so i decided id shoot them....with my phone that is i got some ok video not sure how itll look on here tho let you guys judge its gonna be rotated to the left cuz of the way my phone was held
  15. Agreed, i used those broadheads on my bearhunt, but just to pass along what i was told from the folks at G5 since most bear shots are not over 40 yards, they recommend the striker magnums, there razor sharp and have a 1.5 inch cutting diameter, I was just to cheap to buy new ones lol btw the new tekans are sweeet
  16. I was thinking the same thing, i had these broadheads and the only reason i stopped using them was of not really being able to practice with them but boy did they leave a nice cut :death:
  17. for the most part from what i've seen and heard from local shops and custom string makres, strings and cables run about $40 EACH so bout $80 for a package, i personally paid $80 from Bucknasty over on AT for his strings 452x and halo serving, G5 also offers that setup on there metrao strings now
