I hunt 3 straight months So I normally stick about 10 deer a year. This year im thinking of trying new broad heads. Im complelty torn between rage and steal froce searated. So I thought I would buy three of each. And try to shoot both of them and get my opion. My only problem with the rage is reading reviews at cabelas there all saying there terrible on the 2 blade and 3 blade want stay locked.

My buddy is called Grade "A" cuss hes a grade A screw up. And breaks every thing. Im known as the doc. Cuss Everything that breaks I work on it. So im the Doctor of equitment. I also do all the cleaning skinning and taxidermy work. So they started calling me the doc.

You will love it. I put the benz exhaust silent exhaust on mine and It reall does make it quieter. You dont feal like it on the inside but the out side you can tell a huge diffrence. I can sneak around pretty good. Congrads I like red.

I like when rut comes in cuss My archery targets get tore up. They will tear up slap up and push all over the yard. i have pics of a big 6 point last year and then also last year I was trying to spot light a possum when I saw a true monster. I counted 14 visible points. Then My uncle killed a 13 buck that went non typical 167. He was wearing his boxers and a t shirt eating breakfest. He killed it and got all excited but after it all sunk in he wasnt that impressed cuss he didnt get that rush when he shot it. He said he would never do it again.

So I finnaly got my 400gr full metal jackets from easton. They are fitted with 125 grain field points. Well If you missed my first post I was talked into these from my local archery store. He was telling me how If ya want penetration you want weight. So to test his theory I got 3 diffrent arrows. All where shot with mathews switchback and Mathews Q2 both at 28" draw and 65# pull. Carbon express 300 Stealth Force carbon 300 Full metal jacket 400 To start out the stealth Force Carbon where terrible. They flew all over the place with 75 and 100 gr tips. They flew okay at 125gr. They are just to light of arrow for my likin. The Carbon Express and full metals flew great with all 3 grains and shot very accurate. All 3 tips the full metals pentrated deeper. But When I put the 125 with the Full Metals it was like a whole new set up. I was shooting through my bags and even half way through my delta buck. The Carbon express would pentrate but never shoot through the bag all the way. They also shot most accurate through the 100 grain tips not the 125. I fill the 125 they where slower but hit harder. They did penatrate the best with 125's. So Im sticking with my full metals and 125's now im trying to figure out my broad heads. Also my Full metals have the short vains and floresent wraps. I hope all this helps and makes sence. Ill try to get pics and be more descriptive tommrow evening.

I agree with the statements above. You need to try to add more plots or make yours bigger. I dont know how many deer you have per acrea. thats the best way to see how many deer you need to take and how many acreas you need to plant. We did a count years ago. We have 17 fields ranging from 40 acreas to 1/4 acreas. They all stay mowed down and we have seen up to 50 in the 40 acrea field. I hope this helps and makes since

I dont know your budget at all But I had to grind 3 stumps the other day. And one was through a fence that was 34". So I got the little bitty one. I ground the stump in about 1 hr with all its roots that where every where along the top of the ground. I was very imppressed so i took it to my shop and grinded 2 30 " stumps they took about a hour also. My total price was $104.00 dollors. Now I kept it 24 hours for 4 hours it was like 60 bucks.

I bought three cases this year. I absoulutly love it. I will never shoot cheap stuff again. Not cuss I cant kill ducks but I normally have to do 2 shots to kill the duck. So I switched ove and bought a box last year. It was night and day for me. I like the 3" though. I bought both though.

What are yall big boy toys? Like my latest one is a 08 johndeere 4wd hydro with front end loader. Then I also got a 07 rhino. Both stay at the farm for hunting purposes. People always ask me why I work all week (landscaping) then go to the farm and work all saturday and suday afternoon. But playing on these toys really isnt work more fun.

Mathew custmer service is wonderful. I was at a show last year when a guy did that. At a mathews stand. They where saying later they dont know how many they have to replace under there warrenty due to idiots like your friends freind. But Mathews custmer service is awsome. My buddy last year had a certain brand lim hanger snap at the joint. His bow dropped about 25' and hit hard ground. He thought his season was over. We drove to the closest dealer to the farm dropped it off and 2 days later got a call from mathews. Then I think it was 10 days, and he got a call from the dealer with a fixed bow. Mathews rushed it since we where in the heart of our season. Thats awsome

I have had 18 0f these arrows. over the last 4 years ive shot them. Some have broke during practice most after shooting a deer. I did notice though they crack by the nock. I have had 1 broke carbon arrow hit me in the eye once and 7 1/2 hours of reconstruction surgery later I relized i dont want it happening again. Now when i got hit I was 14 and it was 100% my fault. Other then the little crack by th nock I loved the arrows. It was a beamen I had hit me in th eye

I use aspray painted plastic lawn chair. I drill holes to make it lighter and i can carry it in the woods

Im not shooting through stuff I dont feal I are un ethical by any means. It just seemed my other arrows would hit a leaf and be deflected the tinyest bit. When I hunt like this my shots are usally under 20 yards most at 10.

Ive felt it. I shot a 130-140 class last year. Watched him fall twice. Then he hit the swamps and lost him. I had 8 guys looking and never found him. I know hes down and I know hes dead and makes me sick he went to waste.

Thatgs a good deal. I charged $4.00 a inch to grind stumps. I also hauld the shavings and dug most the roots up. I like the burning idea the most. Its fairly cheap(have u priced diesel) and its very effective. I also have used the liquid killer and it worked but took little over a year

SO i fuanlly broke down and got new arrows. I chose the 400 grain full metal jacket eastons. I hunt thick thick woods. Im hoping the heavier arrow want deflect on small under brush. I got them with 3" vains and blaze yellow wraps.Does anyone else use these. Im shooting a mathew switch back 28" draw length at 65l.b.s and 125 grain tips.

I wear a full harness even in my enclosed ladderstands. I wear orange once rifle season is in. No matter what im doing. I use a light going in and out. I also carry extra batteries. The other thing i do is carry marking ribbon. I like to say i know my property in and out but my clear cuts and swamps get me turned around. Oh yeah I have a compass to.
