If your hunting with me stay home been hunting sence sept 15 and have only seen 1 deer. Haven't gotten a picture in over a month. It's getting old I've have 10 all day sits with nothing to show for it. But most of my deer have come from the pm hunt

So I've been having a really hard time staying warm. I was just on cabelas and found the cabelas extreme bow hunter parka. Was wondering if anyone has this jacket or something similar to it. Or does anyone have any better options for me beefing cold

I got lucky got the heavy steel #2 for $11 a box wish I had bought more now.

After last seasons flop of a duck. Season I decided to step up and get some new goodies. Got a half dozen woodie decoys along with a mojo woodie spinning decoy. Then added a beretta a300 with some heavy shot. If only had about three days to hunt and have already killed 10 times the amount of ducks this year. Was kind of skeptical of the mojo but after tonight. I wish I had a few more. Had everything land in the spread with that thing. Teal woodies mallards even a maganzer. And that heavy shot puts a hurting on ducks. Wish I didn't have to work tomorrow so I could hunt again

talking about bears. so none of you guys look for the wick on the females??

Just getting around to posting this. but Michele my gf finaly got to go on her first hunt. Started out sleeping in cause of the rain, once we got out there we didnt hear anything so we left at 830 to get warmed up and get somthing to eat. after that the rain stoped so we ran back into the blind and got setteled in. after about 15 min of saoft caling a bird gobbeld about a 100 yardsa from us. with a few more soft yelps he is within 40 yards then 10 yards. got her drawn back and the bird sees somthing he didnt like and starts to walk away i told her its now or never and she let the arrow fly. and after a hard track job and more rain we found him. 18pounds 7/8 hooks and 8 in beard. Not to bad for first bird and with a bow...

Ya my first one is on they 30th also a ibo shoot. Been doing this shoot fo rthe last 5 years have usualy shot in the top three but this year im having alot of trouble with my shooting. think im ganna step back to the basics and almost start over

Heres a question for you all . How do you tell the diffrence between a male and female while bait hunting hound or stalking. Some times its easy to tell whos who but not always. Me I usualy run hounds so we just carry a pair of binos to see. But what little bait hunting we do we look for the wick.

i was shooting easton axis full lenght and 125 grain bull heads for turkeys. and the other are fmj with rage 100 grain. poundage hasnt changed at all. did shoot alot better tonight so im ganna say sum of it was form but not all off it.

So now that turkey season is over im trying to get sighted back in for bear and deer. But Im having some problems. 20 yards shoot three arrows aiming at the same spot hit three diffrent spots one low middle and high. What would cause this. Do i need to go and paper tune again. been trying to narrow it down. have thryed diffrent arrows tryed spin testing them. Im at a lose right now. what should i do any help??

easy on him turkey girl maybe hes new. but if shooting the rage and the bird strutting aim right for the little whole in his back side when facing away. rage does a number on them

Finaly had a chance to hunt yesterday. So my gf took the day off so she could go on her first hunt ever. We got in early with the rain sat for a while and hured nothing went and had so fast break went back in and hured a bird gobble right off the bat. after about 10 min hes within 30 yards. and walkes around the corner she looks at me and starts to shake and asked what she should do next. told her to let him come in. a few more soft yelps hes in to 7 yards she draws back and lets hit fly. smaks him right in the neck. ends up beeing 18 pounds and 9 inch beard and 1 inch hooks. so that brings me to my hunt this morning. got in the blind way befor day light. got everything all ready. daylight comes and i have super jake at 15 yards but dont want to shoot him about 15 min later i hear anouther bird and when it came in the field my jaw droped. he comes in to 5 yards i drawn back and let it fly and hit him right in the wing with the bull heards he run off and i never found him. i feel so sick right now. looking back i got the edge of the blind with the blades. i had that this happened. i hope he makes it. thanks for listening to me rant

so i bought some magnus bull heads. have the shooting bullets at 10 yards but go back to 20 and its like throwing a 2x4 threw the air. i have tryed everything to get these to shoot and can. what if any info can you guys/gals help me out with???

I know today was the opener and was wondering how everyone made out... We will be out tomarrow in the am as long as the rain dosnt get to bad. what did you see are they breed out just starting what are you seeing.

So iv only hunted the northeast for big birds. And im goinging to be in kansas mid april for a few days hunting. My question is what can i expect. Weather birds the whole nine. only time iv ever been to the midwest is in november so im not to sure what to expect. can anyone help me!!!

well im back from montana. spend a week in unit 102 running with my hounds. we put 6 cats in trees in 7 days. I took my hoyt out to see of i could get lucky on a big tom. let one go the first day that was probly 130 pounds. ge was way up in the mt. we walked probly 3 miles in waist deep snow to get to him. But on tuesday i got my chance after a nice chase. the dogs put him up on the edge of some ledge. So we walked in got within about a 100 yards of them and the cat jumped and the chase was on. he when maybe about 300 yards befor treeing again. We hiked up the ledge to get up beside the cat and got things ready dogs tied back and took some pics and got some video befor the shot. the cat was only 16.4 yard right infront of me. But he was on the otherside of the tree. all i could see what hip and his last few ribs. so i got drawn back and slid an arrow right behind the last rib and up into hi chest. the cat jumped and came to our side of the treed so i gave him abouther just to make sure. In all that cat only moved for about 10 sec befor he fell out dead. Then the fun started. draggin him out. we had to drag him out well over a mile to the truck. but was worth ever sec. When all was said and done he was a 160 pounds and was 6'6" long. a realy nice cat. will have some pics as soon as i can

well any way we can get points for saving deer. I killed my cat tuesday with my bow. was 160 pounds and 6'6". skull wiith make p&y and montana book. so im pretty excited and got it all on video

Well only a few more days and im gone. Finally got drawn for a lion tag in montana. I went last years but only got to run the cam. we spent 2 weeks out there and put 14 cats in trees with our dogs. This year i get to take my bow and give it a try. We picked up some pretty cool sponsores for this year. Hoyt came back and gave me the maxiss 31 for the hunt and easton sent some arrows. Skb sent us 5 new cases for the bow and a bunch of other stuff. LL cotes. Shipped out clothes and boots for us to use. Bearhunting mag will runn an add for us after we are done. tri tronics sent us a bunch of collors and that stuff. I cant wait to get out of nh for a while. the weather looks great fresh snow almost every night. not to cold not to warm. just as long as we can keep the wolves away from our dogs. but il post some pics from the trip when i get back

well thats it for me. my season is over. just shipped my stuff to montana for my lion hunt maybe when i get back il have a day or two to hunt. but we shall see. only saw 2 deer all season so it was a bad year

Thruth bows are ok but i didnt care for them. just not my style. I wouldnt put all your eggs in that basket. go to a dealer and shoot every bow that you pick up. And shoot the one that best fits you and feels right in your hand. Thast why i shoot the maxxis and not the martix. matrix was night but juts didnt feel right in my hand.

well iv been hunting just about everyday possible with no luck. i did see a doe thursday night but thats been it sence oct 1st. im just getting tired with hunting right now. like today i only sat untill 7 cause i was sick of seein people. i had three guys walk within 30 yards of my stand and one eevr tryed to steal my tinks sent thing off the tree. and the other 2 made it just out of sight and started shooting at who knos what. I guess im just not having fun with it this year. whats the deal anyone els having this problem??

ok so iv always been a chevy/Gm guy. iv always had s10s and what not and have always lifted them for about 1000 buck. so i just got a 2008 gmc sierra 1500 and looked at lifing it. wow some one tell me this guy is on crack. he gave me a quote or 9000 for a 6 inch lift. anyone have this truck with a lift and what did you stendon it??

man i cant win this year. missed a doe at 10 yard with my bow back a month ago. then tonight i wnet to a spot i have pics of 130 inch 10 and just befor dark he comes in at less then 50 yards. put the cross hair on him and squeezed the trigger and crack. the cap went of but the powder didnt. i reach in to grab anouther cap and theyu arnt there. wtf well my brother ran out of his so he took mine not a big deal but he didnt tell me so i didnt have any to use and i had to watch the buck walk off. And im havin a bad year
