  1. GMA The GMA have to be at least partly rigged or there must of been a glitch in the fan voting system. There is absolutely no way in the universe that Roger Raglin won so many awards. Absolutely, positively, without any question NO WAY. I am quite impartial to his demeanor, although he does come across as a goofball and a C- host at best. There are many other B, B+, A hosts out there with a better following. Even Dullard Dave Watson is a better host and he can put me to sleep faster than listening to chess on the radio. Bottom line you have to question everything these days, for everything isn't always as it appears. It was good to see great productions like WTF (Great job Jason!) and Real Tree Roadtrips get some of the spotlight. Both are outstanding productions and deserve recognition. Keep the process evolving and keep setting the bar higher and higher.
  2. Missed Shot Good taste has nothing to do with this shot. It was a miss, not a too far back or gut shot. I am sorry but I believe in honesty without exception, maybe they think the audience is to see that kind of truth in action, yet I believe it's exactly what people need. And you don't need to sit there and show the entire struggle sequence, I agree, yet seeing at least part of the struggle is VERY IMPORTANT, it reminds us of the sorrow that is brought about by killing a living creature. We need to see the bad with the good, it's human, it's hunting, it's the real world. Too many people want to live in this lollipop lane world, and want to interact with kid's gloves on.
  3. Exactly Exactly, show the hunt exactly the way it happened, please no more phony re-creations of key events in a hunting program. Your audience understands the need for some re-creations as it is a production, but you can't re-create or piece together key elements of the story just to show the main charter in a better light. It's phony and most intelligent people will recognize it immediately and will call you out.
  4. No one noticed? Does anyone pay attention anymore? So no one's responded to my previous post? Does anyone pay attention? Am I the only one that thinks the footage doesn't look quite right when Jeff Foxworthy first shot at his ram?
  5. Questionable Sheep Footage First let me start of by saying that I think both Foxworthy and Blanton are top notch awesome guys, absolutely love watching them when they are doing their thing. As a skeptic I have reviewed the footage of Jeff's shoot and it appears that the first shot misses or hits the back right leg of the sheep, then the footage immediately cuts, the entire sequence doesn't look right and I am sure if the audience is honest with themselves they will come to the same conclusion. Was there another shot, that was cut out for creative reasons? I believe Foxworthy's excitement was genuine, yet I don't believe that first shot was a kill shot. I guide for sheep and know a sheep's nonverbals quite well and this sheep did not display the signs of being hit. So what's up? I am also surprised that more people don't question these things.
  6. Re: AK---caribou hunt You can do a caribou drop out of Kotzebue for around 2 grand. But then you have other expenses to think of, such as getting meat and antlers back to lower 48, flights to Anchorage then onto Kotzebue, lodging a night before going into the field and a night after getting out of the field. Also keep in mind the possibility of getting weathered in for days at a time and having to change flight plans. Lots of stuff to account for, but well worth an authentic Alaska hunt.
  7. Re: Son\'s first antelope! Awesome prong horn. That's what it's all about.
  8. Re: AK---caribou hunt Doing a drop hunt out of Kotzebue in unit 23 is a very good hunt. You just better be sure you know what you're getting yourself into. Anyone that needs more info on a hunt like this just post or message me.
  9. The opening week moon phase for Wisconsin and other midwest states is looking beautiful. Our hunting season is about done up here in Alaska now it's time to head back to the lower 48 and do some whitetail hunting.
