Went out picked up the blood trail lost it after about 100yds. then did a grid search for about 4 miles. Never found him Did find a lil 8ptr that someone had shot and never found. And also found someone hunting one of my stands that I only like to hunt if everything is perfect for that spot. I see mature bucks everytime I hunt it, but we are being really picky on the bucks we shoot. And this guy is up in my stand, ok its bad enough hes in it, then trys telling me he has permission to hunt there. Which is funny because its some of our leased land and its in writeing that my dad and myself are the only ones that have permission for any kind of hunting. To make a long story short the idiot was still in my stand when the landowner arrived. Im sure you can all figure out what happend next. So now that im done venting the last few days have been a real kick in the face. Thanks for the help tho guys, I really appreciate it!

Alright fellow hunters i need some help!!! Tonight at about 430 I put the judo chop on a monster 11pt, 150 class buck. Complete pass through at about 16 yds. I was 15ft up and put a hurting on this ole brusier. Got down about 25min went to the spot where the deer was shot. Found the arrow and a ton of whitehair and a lil blood. Went to where the deer jumped the fence and found a lil blood on the other side but nothing significant. I shot a big 8pt this year and had the same thing happen. Watched him go down 40 yds from my stand. This deer took off and sounded like he was stopping the ground off in the distance. It appears that my arrow has some fat on it as well . Im pretty positive I put a good on him i keep playing it over and over in my mind. What do you guys think and has this happend to any of you? O and um what in the world should I do? Any help is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks fellow hunters!! -HOYTnMUZZYboy

I have 3 calls in my backpack. 1. Primos estrus bleet can. 2. MAD calls grunt snort wheeze. 3. MAD calls growler. I absolutely love the grunt snort wheeze call. I have bought it when it first came out and have used it ever since. A great call IMO. There's alot of great calls out there. But useing the right call at the right time is the key. I dont think it matters whos name is on it, or who uses this one or that one. Spending the time in the deer woods listeing to them in there own habitat is key. I should prolly end this now b4 I ramble on anymore haha. Good luck on your choice and on the rest of the year!

Corn and apples like other have said, but if you use apples when you get to where your going to put them out cut a few of them in half. Might as well get the smell in the air that much more. IMO. Good luck with the rest of your season!

Scent Control Research (Need your help)

I half to agree with slughunter. Your lucky they didn't take your camera. I have had people in and out of the property that I own and hunt, it's pretty much impossible to keep everyone out. It seems like around here the only thing fences are good for are keeping the cattle in the pasture. And like the old saying goes "Locks are only for honest people." A buddy of mine had one of is trail cams smashed to pieces from someone that wasn't suppose to be on his property. People dont respect other peoples things anymore. Good luck keeping pesky people out!

Re: What arrows I have the new Easton ST Epics and wouldnt recommend them. There great for shooting at targets, But it seems when you shoot into anything other then a target the inserts bend. I shot 2 deer complete pass through's on both arrow was fine until i pulled it out of the ground, and right at the top side of the insert they were both bent, didnt bend enough to break the arrow, but any bend in an arrow is obivously bad. Also shot a squirrel and the same thing happend. I could understand if i stuck them into a fallen tree or branch or log or somthin but all 3 of arrows were stuck into the ground. So the new inserts they hype up about with there new arrows IMO are junk. Im going to the Axis havn't heard anything bad about them yet. Good luck in your selection, maybe i just have a bad batch.

Re: Whose still got season left?? Like need2hunt said i was done today also. I tell ya, big bucks know when you cant shoot them, was out for the last evening of the CWD doe only season tonight, in a spot that i dont like to hunt alot. No one else hunts it beside my Dad and myself, but theres some 150 to 170 class deer and we only hunt it if everything is perfect (wind ect.) so i decided tonight i would go out and sit in one of my bow stands, and sure enough i saw a monster 14pt , hung around 45yds for aleast 15min, almost like he knew i was there, if deer could talk he would of been yelling hahahah you cant shoot me. But what a treat, and thats what deer hunting is all about. I know where il be oct. 1st of 2007. What a great way to end a great season!

Re: Realtree Roadtrips??????? I have said it before and il say it again WADDELL IS KING!!! Plain and simple. A great spokesman for hunting. And like said above a true rolemodel. Hes one of those guys that you couldnt not like even if you wanted to. IMO.

Re: Realtree hat suggestion I have been looking for a fitted or flex fit camo hat for along time. Hopefully this topic could get passed on from a Mod.... I think it would be a great money maker. Probably more so the flex fit IMO. But either way it would be great!

Re: Realtree Roadtrips??????? Waddell is KING!!! Im not trying to be mean here but, this is a Realtree forum, if you dont like some of the things that are sold or said, or put on hats and shirts dont buy them! IMO it was kinda stupid to come in here and say somthin like that, but at the same time that is MO just as it was yours to post your post. I know i can speak for myself and prolly alot of the guys in here, but when it comes to Waddell and his awesome show Realtree Roadtrips, were all a fan. And I dont understand where your getting this fueling any fires either, I own the will hunt for food hat and wear it proudly!! Thats my choice, i dont care what anti hunters think, if they dont like it they dont half to read it. There always gonna be around, and theres always going to be hunters around. Im proud to be a deer hunter, and im not affraid to show it! Hope you dont take this to heart, but you have your opinion and i have mine! Happy Trails. "Will HUNT FOR FOOD!"

Re: The Greatest Sport in the world!!! Theres no music like playin some sweet string music with the Hoyt (or whatever you choose to hunt with) to harvest the ole timber ghost. Gotta love it!!!

Re: Broadheads Muzzy 3 and 4 blades, but get out there and try a kind or 2, but like Leo said make sure you take some practice shots with ur broadheads, cuz there not all the same, and every arrow flys differntly. They can get pricey, but ushally you pay for what you get. Good Luck!! Happy Trails.

Re: Hoyt Shooters I need some feed back I shoot the Hoyt Trykon, some guys say that right b4 the let off kicks in, that theres a hump, mine is smooth, altho i have pulled a few other trykons back and have noticed the same thing. Get out and shoot anything that catches ur eye. Good luck! Happy Trails.
