We have talent and we have been getting good recruiting classes. The talent is there but the coaches are definately not getting the best out of the athletes we have. True we are not up to par with the USCs and LSUs but we should not be dropping games by 30+ points, let alone at home during homecoming. This was a team that went 9-5 last year with marginal losses to Texas and Auburn that could have went either way. We returned our Runningbacks, wide recievers, Defensive backfield and linebackers, along with an improved O-line and we are getting blown out in games, not even competing. I think the coaching staff can book the same bus tickets as Pederson. Sorry I am just a disappointed huskers fan.

I feel ya, I was lookin at weather.com and for Saturday it said high of 67 and some drizzle, then right before my eyes it changed to high if 87 and lots of wind. The hunting gods hate me.

Depends on the weather, if they are good hunting conditions I would probably go, but it also depends on who the HUSKERS were playing that sat. GO BIG RED!!!!!

I like the Legendary Whitetails series that was compiled by Larry Huffman, it highlights some of the legendary bucks of all-time. Pretty neat books and some awesome pictures of giant whitetails.

This spring I planted a small half acre plot of Biologic Clover plus. I got a good stand due to some good rains in early spring and on into the start of summer. But lately it has dried up and weeds are starting to pop through. I also planted alfalfa and turnips in with the clover and they have come up great as well. The clover and chickory are still growing but some broadleaf weeds are starting to pop up pretty fast, I was wondering if you guys think that mowing it would help with weed control and help the plot bloom out even more without hurting the turnips. Also the turnips have almost all turned and the leaves are mostly dead. I can get a tractor down there with a shredder or a hand push mower. Just wondering what you guys would do.

How much does one of them big ones weigh?

Well we went out and the water had gotten a lot more dirty due to some hard rain. Me and a buddy went out and waded around in some shallow weed beds. He ended up busting two and I threw up the big ol' goose egg for the evening. Oh well it was still a blast shoot at those suckers, everyone should try it once.

Me and a buddy went fishing last night for some crappie, had no luck in that department, so we started driving around the lake when we noticed the carp spawning up in the shallow weed beds. So we went back and got are bows, it was almost dark, my buddy bagged one before we finally ran out of light. But we are headed out right now for a day of bustin some mud suckers. Will post results!

I am thinking about putting down a 1 acre clover plot but will not be able to do this until about the middle or end of may. There is a giant buck in this area and it would be close to his home area so i want to put it in in the spring so he has time adjust to it. Is mid or late May to late to be putting a plot in?
