I learned last year in my wildlife conservation class, when we were pullin jaws and aging deer, that there is absolutly no way to determine the age of a deer unless you pull the jaw. Anything else is just a guess. Whats to say its not a big 2 1/2 year old or a small 5 1/2 year old? Just like trying to guess the age of a human, you can get close most of the time but sometimes you will be surprised. If anyone is interested in the age of their deer look up online how to pull and age a jaw. Its indredibly easy and all you need are some branch trimmers and making a tool to pull is easy with a welder
