I think that is the best use for them. A little big to carry unless your a lady with a purse...but for in the home, using buck 1 shot 4 balls....cant beat that.

shot both. Hunted with the 12. accuracy is good on both but I like the 12 just because with sabots you dont get full bore sized rounds and I like max wound channel. So I say the 12

So in the last 3 days my fiancee and I have found a home that is forclosed and owned by the HUD program and today we submitted an offer very close to the HUD asking price because of the homes quality and property. It's 3 beds 2 baths 1800sqft on just over 13 acres of swamp, woods and brush fill fields (good hunting). Its a 2004 home and is really nice. It needs new appliances and furnace and hot water heater. The home is priced to sell so we hope our offer will be accepted. Keep us in your prayers. It will be an amazing starter home for us...I think I have gray hair now..

LOL....no pun intended right? Maybe a little more gun and little less camera?...lol -
They do not make them any more and they kick like a mule but I use a mossber mdl 695. It's a dedicated slug bolt action gun. I have taken deer out to 195 yds and droped them where they stand. It can and does shoot groups around 2" at 100 yds. But since they dont make them it's either buy used or go to the savage, only bolt gun really made any more. I have shot both and will say that for fast target tracking and pulling up on running deer the mossberg wins hands down. For long range shooting both are equil but I still favor the mossber because it lighter and i can be more stedy from a rest.

My german short hair is 14 years old now and has been having a hard time holding her food down, well we took her into the vet basically expecting the bad news, well she has a large liver tumber and it's pushing her insides all over the place. She can still eat just in smaller amounts, but the vet said that at some point it is likly to cause extream pain and internal bleeding. She is also having some hard time seeing and walking but still gets able to get around. So we've had to sit down and talk, we've decided that monday we will take her in and say good buy to a long time hunting buddy and longer time friend. "Be a good girl shadow, and I hope we are making the right choice for you."

Dad and me got 5 last saturday, we met up with a guy and his sons and they shot three more behind our dogs with our permission. We've really hit them well, only went the one day. Dads first bird was/is a HUGE male, were getting him mounted to have a cool addition to our rec room.

Do you ever have stuff happen in the woods that make you freak out. Well I was sitting in my stand watching a small doe when I heard something else. Not on the ground but at my level. I looked up to be face to face with a squirrle on a brach about 5ft away. As I stared at him it became clear he was going tempt fate and jump my way. Well before I could move he launched him self for the shooting rail on my climbing stand. Once landing I saw him turn to attack me, ok so he was probably just going ot jump over me to the tree but It looked like an attack. In my mind I made a subtle noise to get him out of my stand, HOWEVER what came out of my mouth was a noise simular to a little girl comming accross a rat in her play house. Well the attack tree rat turned and flung him self 23ft to the ground, I shouted I hope that hurt well it didn't because he took off and was gone. so ya, I know feel the need to go shoot some tree rats....:shifty:

I lived in the Upper Penninsula of michigan for a while and people up there had a rule...NOT MINE....but it was funny SSS Shoot it, Shovel it, and Shut up. A few wolfs would turn up at the DNR stations durring deer season every year with a note saying, returning lost property. Since the DNR put the wolfs in the UP. sorry to hear about the bad luck. .

Anyone have a wild game inovation trail cam.
MichiganHunter replied to jesse8953's topic in Hunting Equipment
I have 4 or the IR4's never had a problem. My friend has 1 IR4 my step dad has an IR5. Thay have all worked well from southern michigan to northern michigan extream cold weather. -
I would pick up a 1 new box and hit the range one more time and shoot 2 or 3 rounds and see if it's patterning the same. Gun powder (if i'm correct) breaks down over time and might still fire but could be preforming at a lower level. If you buy a new box and give it a comparrison you will know for sure. and like always.....better safe then sorry.

kind of like this idea....might see this from me too. good luck on future hunts
