Re: Logging before season
Works great. One of the spots I hunt had logging and controlled burns. It is there home and they will stay put. They may move off for a few days but they should come back into the regular scheduled rounds.
Good luck
Re: flying to roost
If you get a chance to pattern the bird in your hunting area I am sure that you will find that the dominate birds both gobblers and boss hens will go up and fly down in order of there dominance in the flock. Then again nothing a turkey does is for sure. So maybe STRUT10 is correct. If you are a good enough caller ask them next time your in the woods.
Re: shell/choke suggestions for 835!!!
I use a kicks .680 and it really kicks if you know what I mean. I like to use heavy shot #6 in a 3" round. Last year in my practice shot I scored 39 in the kill @ 40 yards. I do not like to use the 3.5" shells because if your bird is in close you can take its head off. Not good if you plan on mounting it.
Good luck.
P.S. I would purchase the top chokes that you get feed back on and try them with several different loads and the use of a lead sled and pick the best one. You can always sell the chokes you do not like. Ebay is a great place to get used chokes and to sell your old ones.
Re: Jelly head
You have to try one on your gun to see how well it works. All chokes work differently depending on the gun and load. If I have a new gun I will try and get a few different chokes off of ebay and see what works best and sell the rest.
Good Luck.
Re: TURKEY TEAM #5
huntn4bucks you should just take the names and pull one from a hat and we will have a name.
I tried emailing 10acboy and was rejected with no such address. sounds like we need to move on.

Re: TURKEY TEAM #5
Howdy,
I Hope everybody is ready to win. I plan on hunting quite a bit.
As far as names:
Tag fillers
The gobble stoppers
Turkey Snipers
The A Team
or
The T Team
The Turkey Killers or the P.C. version
The Turkey Harvesters
I hope you all have some names that we can consider.
Re: Who scatters corn prior to turkey season??
use your skills not your feeder. That can be hard to say if some one is feeding in the area. If not, use your skills.
