Shot this ten pointer september 27th. My first "wall hanger"!

I stuck this ten point sunday morning! About a thirty yard shot and all my practice paid off. And the RAGE definately did its job. He only went 50 yards. Plus i was hunting with a buddy and he got to share this experience with me. I couldn't be happier. Only my second buck ever and he is a dandy! What do you guys think he scores?

i cant seem to find number three. i probably put in 15 hours since that set i found and havent found any more. im not givin up yet tho :)

Well hit the woods today and got myself on the board. Found a matched set!

Thats a lot of nice bucks for one area...if you shed hunt you will probably do pretty well with all those antlers being out there.

Now that the wisconsin gun deer hunt is over and i still haven't gotten a buck for the year i was wondering what my best chances for getting a buck into range this late season. Unfortunately i don't have any food sources to hunt over. I do have hardwoods bordered by swamp. The high side of the woods is on a field but it isn't our property. I usually hunt the low side. The swamp is on the other 3 sides of the woods. So where is my best bet to get a shot at a buck? sorry for the long question

i shot a doe two years ago and had a complete pass through but never found her. Followed the blood trail but it ran out after about 150 yards. I saw the arrow hit and my guess is that it hit above the lungs but below the spine. I've heard of that happening and the deer surviving.

The deer weren't moving here in southern wisconsin either. I had high hopes with the cold weather and the rut basically here, but only saw a couple does and they were moving pretty quickly. I'm not sure why they weren't moving, it was probably the winds.

In general, how high of winds do you have to have before the deer activity almost stops completely?

Each time i put my camera out with a brand new battery it is dead the very next day and doesn't take pictures. I put the camera over a little pile of corn and the next day the corn was gone and the battery on the camera was dead. it didn't take any pictures that night. The temps. haven't been under 30 around here so it shouldn't be too cold....is there anything i can do about it?

Went out this morning and only saw a lone doe. I have been finding a large number of scrapes and rubs though so the rut should be kicking in pretty quickly.
