Went home over Easter weekend to try and bag some longbeards. It proved to be tougher than usual as our 70-80 degree weather was exchanged for 30-40 degree temps with intermittant snow showers in our part of the state. We hunted hard Friday evening, all day Saturday, and then finally at 7:15 Easter morning we had some luck. First we had 6 jakes come and work the decoys over as soon as they hit the ground from the roost. Then the rest of the flock came in, my friend got his first turkey a tom with a 9" beard & 1" spurs and I got a jake.
