I hunt field edges all season but when the rut kicks in I like to move 30 yrds or so into the woods. I find that some buck stay in the woods and scent check the field edges, but I also hunt field edges depending on the wind. I like to mix it up so that they don't pattern me:)

there was a good article on the home page about decoy. it said that you should never touch the decoys with your bare hands. He said that he had better luck with a buck decoy that faced him. Placing the decoy so that it would face him usually made the buck circle to face the decoy head on, which usually gives him a broad side shot. I personally would set it up in the dark so you have a slimer chance of spooking a deer

my cousin killed one like it and it scored 147 so thats what i will go with

Last year i got my first p&y by calling it in with a can call by primos. I like to call only when I can see them since this is when ive had the most luck and i can tell what their reactions are. This big thing how much pressure is in an area and do they do any calling because if they do the "big one" may not respond to the same type of calls. Good luck tho:)

I was talking to the guy that found them and he was talking to the local game warden so he could get special tags so he could have them mounted. He also said that that warden has only seen 1 other case like this in his twenty some odd yrs. I didnt know it was so rare even tho this was my first time seeing it:confused:

since his belly sags the way it does and how big his neck is I would at least say that he a a mature 4.5yr buck good luck getting him:D:D:D

i have used my 3D target while it was in good condition lol and ive found out that the target has to have a tail that moves otherwise the other deer will get suspicious. good luck!!!

if a deer is hurt during the fall hunting season their antlers next year most likely wont be what they could be, or so ive heard:(. good luck hunting though:)

the first one looks like it would score in the 130s my brother killed one just like the second and it grossed 153 the third looks like another buck in the 130s hope u have fun hunting them.

This past weekend a friend of mine happened to come across the remains of two dead bucks that apperently died and were still locked up. They are both main frame 8's, but one is a 9 and the other is a 11.I'm just dissapointed that we could not get a chance to actually hunt these deer:(.
