there was a good article on the home page about decoy. it said that you should never touch the decoys with your bare hands. He said that he had better luck with a buck decoy that faced him. Placing the decoy so that it would face him usually made the buck circle to face the decoy head on, which usually gives him a broad side shot. I personally would set it up in the dark so you have a slimer chance of spooking a deer
