  1. Yep we have to move on but let us never forget our past
  2. Thanks. Even with the new buildings going up I'll always see a hole in the skyline.
  3. Lets see what the dope that is his VP choice will say. He is supposed to be a Catholic from Scranton, PA. That is a pretty conservative area. Will he follow Obama's lead and forgo his background or did his conveniently toss that out years ago so he's going to support Obma's stupidity?
  4. Steel beam has been put up http://www.ironandsteelnyctoshanksville.com/
  5. There is a ferry near Jersey City, NJ that can take you round trip from JC to NYC for less than $13. Right next to it is a parking lot for your camper which is a lot cheaper than a hotel in the area and you can get into NY so easy. Anyway, here's what the short ferry ride looks like. (right click photo)
  6. I have snake chaps and I would recommend that over just boots
  7. I have owned a 30.06 Rem 700 ADL synthetic stock and barrel in SS with a Leupold 3x9x50MM for years. It is a tack driver and anything is shot was down in one round, deer or yote. The BDL is a nice option. Have a gun smith check it out before you seal the deal.
  8. Next season Giants vs. Looser is how it will play out. Giants do it again:D
  9. Here we go with this minor saga: 6:55PM go to the feeder and turn off the 8PM feeding option. Climb up in my 12' Ameristep double man ladder stand at 7PM Just a camo shirt, hat and pants. No washing or scent killer. Just sit there. Breeze occasionally east to west as I face north looking at my feeder. 7:40PM first one doe shows up. She acts skittish goes down the hill to my right. Did she scent me? 5 minutes later up the hill comes a small but thick 6 pointer; a high spike a few does and fawns and the skittish doe! Fawn is getting milk from mom and all the rest are hammerin' the Record Rack pellets out of my Moultrie feeder about 15 yards in front of my ladder stand. 8PM getting dark and they keep munching away. 8:20 very dark but through my Vortex Binos I can still pick out the 6 pointer and doe munching away. Just at 8:30 PM the last two deer start to wander off and I start to get down from my Stand. I go slowly down the ladder and slip out the evergreens and onto my lawn. Good thing I had turned off the 8PM feeding option or I would still be up there! So, here I am relating the story only a few minutes after that fun event! My Moultrie Trail Cam was pointing in that general direction where all the action took place so tomorrow I'll pull the SD card and see what I can see. Less than one month for bow season and I am pumped! I won't sit in that ladder stand until I am hunting but it was sure nice to get ready this way
  10. I will take pics of the 2 stumps I am about to get rid of. Renting a stump grinder. They have two sizes one for $200 all day the other bigger one for $300. I will see which one is best for what I have to do.
  11. well, I hope you like it.Canvas may get wrinkled over time:eek: how do you keep the tat looking as good then?
  12. Got a picture of your set up to share?
  13. Just cover scents. I gave up on any of the deer scent 'attractants' and such
  14. I use the HS Dirt Scent Wafers for years, they work!
  15. want to try and reload the photo?
  16. I did that just before I went on Vacation. I found it a hoot that the pics they show when the page loads was where I had picked to go on vacation! Nice additional to Google Maps. GM is especially awesome if you want ground eye views of city streets if you are trying to locate a store etc. I tested out Microsoft's 3DVIA (beta) deal and see what that accomplishes! Wow, bird's eye view of my property is maybe no more than two years ago, pehaos a year ago. Looks awesome!
  17. They did that when I lived down south. Not my style and dogs can run onto your property if not controlled well. Where it is leagal you have to live with it if you don't like it.
  18. Get thee to a good Pro Shop and let him make sure your set up is correct. If you gor it from a pro Shop, I'd find another one. You should not have sever problems if a good Pro set up your bow. They can observe your shooting style and make recommendations on what to do but first, make sure the bow is properly set you for you.
  19. I think I'll get the full view once the season is under way;)
  20. Looks good, you take the one you want and let me get the other one
  21. I believe the moon phase slowed them down around that time the pics were taken; I have seen similar results on my trail cams but now activity is up this week.
