I have a 444 marlin and shot a doe last year at 137 yards with it. She fell in her tracks. Like DocMort said it was devastating on her.

By the way my last name is Cox so i need something that goes good with that.

Just found out yesterday that my fiance and i are having a boy. Due date is January 18th. I was wondering if ya'll had any good cool boy names in mind. She wants to name him something cool like his big brother Levi.

I'm taking my 3 yr. old son Levi to the lake for some camping and then head over to the deer woods to check on our feeders make sure they are working good. Then gonna cook some burgers and just have a fun family weekend.

I'm working today should get off around 2. Then we are off until monday morning. So hopefully i can get some huntin in after the christmas is done with the family.

Gotta work till 3. Then go pick my litte boy up and do christmas with him and my parents. Then its off to Corey's (hogdawg) moms to open presents and to rub it in corey's face how i got a nice 8 and a doe this year so far. Hope i can get one before he runs back home.

Mine has been pretty good. Seen some young bucks that have some good potential. On nov.16th i shot a 4 1/2 yr. 8 point with my little boy it was a nice buck. Smoked a doe over the weekend. Over all we have had a good season here.

When i was a kid it was when my parents got me a remington 20 ga. i couldn't wait to hit the woods and do some squrriel huntin with my dad. I was 12 then and 15 yrs. later i still got the gun and it still looks brand new. Now that i have a son of my own it is seeing his cute little face light up when he rips the paper off his presents.

7 yrs. ago i started bowhuntin with a PSE Nova that i bought from wal-mart. Totally rigged out for $200. I could shoot that thing like a champ. Then me and my dad bought the Mathews Legacy after i rigged it out i think i had about $850 in it. Sold it 2 yrs. ago and bought a used Mathews LX rigged out for $500 from my dad because he wanted the switchback. You don't have to have the top of the line equipment to harvest an animal. Start out with the cheaper equipment and later on if you want to upgrade then do so its your money.

Well found out today that it is for sure a baby girl on the way. Me and the girl were engaged then found out she was doing alot of stuff behind my back. Found out she was poppin pills on a regular basis. So we ended up calling the whole thing off. I' am excited about having the baby girl i already have a little boy from a previous marriage. Just wish that they didn't have to come from broken homes. I spend as much time with my little boy as possible. Actually me and his mother have sat down a few times and talked about alot of things that caused our marrige to fail. We have been doing things together and they both will be at my house for christmas so really excited about that. Anyway just wanted to let everyone know.

Last year after i shot a good 8 with my bow i decided to go back and shoot a doe. Had my backpack packed and ready. Climed the tree got settled in went to get my release couldn't find it. So i got down went back to camp looked everywhere even went through my intire truck. When dad gets to camp asked if i got one said no can't find my release and i know for sure i packed it. We looked a little more and then he ask" You look in the pocket of your bow vest?" Stuck my hand in there and what do you know there it is. Was in the bottom pock of my primos bow vest where i keep my calls. Guess i stuck it in there during all the excitement after i shot my buck. This year i have only misplaced my buck roar. Bought a new one then about a week later my dad hands it to me and says i left it in his stand. Guess if i ever lose one i'll have a backup unless i lose it to.
