bout three hundred yards. buck ran down a hill into the creek bottom. it was my biggest deer with a bow so i didnt mind to much. i did stop and take a few breaks though. it was last year in oct and down here it was still pretty warm

Yea i like the archery season better as well cause there is no pressure on the deer four a couple months. Where my dad and me hunt (deer lease) we are the only two that bow hunt. Everyone else is from out of town and only come up during rifle season. My dad has taken 2 or 3 pope and youngs. He's biggest with a bow is an 8 that scored 136 2/8 had 13" g 2's 4' g 1' long main beams just an awesome buck. I have been bowhuntin for 7 years and last year i killed my first bow kill which was an 8 that scored 125 he had 12" g 2's 4" g 1's g 3's were just a little over 7 inche 16 1/4 wide had kinda short main beams. After all those years of sittin in the treestand and lettin the smaller bucks go my persistance and determination finally paid off. I would rather bow hunt than gun hunt. But i hunt during archery and rifle cause i want pass up the chance to go climb the tree.

I see some of you talking about late archery season and the second gun season. I was wandering how long the seasons last? Here where i live in Jasper TX archery season starts at the end of september runs to the day before rifle season which is the first weekend of nov. Rifle season go form then to the first weekend in jan. The we have a 2 week muzzleloader season where you can only shoot does and spikes. Anyway i was just wandering how long ya'lls seasons lasted and if ya'll like it?

I will have to get my pic. I was 10 yrs. old i was a sleep in the bottom of the stand and when the deer came out my dad woke me up. A small 8 came out that he had been seeing he was chasing does and it was 24 degrees. Made a 80 yard shot with my dads 270 dropped him in his tracks. I've never seen my dad that happy.

Yes i am very proud of my son. Every time i look at him i know its a miracle that he's here. I m only 27 yrs. old and no matter what comes my way he has been and will always be the best thing to ever happen to this country boy. One thing i love is he is my shadow 100% daddy boy. I LOVE IT.

Well i think all the ladies that have been posted are very beautiful women. In all honesty i think any man would be proud to have them on there arm. I know i would.

I forgot to say this on Nov. 16th he was with me and we shot a really nice 8 point. After i shot he looked at me and said "daddy we shot a big buck". When people ask him about it he always says " i shot a big buck and he was heavy". He wanted to help me drag him out and i would tell this deer is heavy Levi he would respond with "yea he is heavy daddy"

This is my 2 yr. old son and huntin partner Levi. He was born two and a half months premature and had to stay in ICU for over a month. He weighed 3 lbs. 8 ounces and was 16 inches long. The night he was born they didn't know if he was going to make it. As i was talking to the doctor she told me that as small as he was he was the biggest fighter she had ever seen. That made me feel a little better. It was about 2 hours after he was born before i got to see him. When i looked at him i just broke down because there was my little boy having to fight for his life and there was nothing i could do for him. He was on a breathing machine and the had him extremly sadated. That night i got down on my knees and prayed for god to let him live. I told him that if somone need to go then he could take me as long as he let my son live. He answered my prayers cause i have a handsome little boy and the best huntin partner a man could ever ask for. His mother and i divorced when he was 1. Not being able to be with him everyday was very hard on me. Now she lets me get him everyday and spend a few hours with him and a couple nights during the week he stays the night with me. Every time i go huntin he looks up at me and says "daddy can i go with you?" and of course i say yes. Just wanted to show him off and let everyone else meet my huntin buddy.

Thats what i m talkin bout be a rebel. I ain't gonna get to hunt that evening got to go to beaumont and finish gettin levi's christmas presents. He ain't but 2 but dang that boy been buggin me for a "little boy gun" as he calls it. Wants one so he can take it huntin with us so he can shoot a big buck. Prolly get knocked up side the head like i did when he took that toy gun with us as he flung it out the window saying " I shoot'em daddy". Reckon he gonna be a hunter?

Well cousin i will probably hunt a little in the morning then me and levi will head to center to meet Mr. Waddell. Think its pretty cool that he's coming to center since it ain't a real big town. After we meet him prolly do a little christmas shopping for myself since ain't got know one to buy for me. Think bout a new bow like the hoyt alfamax. Carl there at wulf outdoors said he thinks its best on the market. Go ahead and retire the mathews lx. Its been a good bow since it laid the smack down on two pope and youngs. Alright buddy just let me know. You comin in this weekend to do some huntin? Dad set on my stand yesterday morning and saw 11. Nine does and two small bucks nothin worth shootin.

Whats up hogdawg you can't invite your cousin (bigbuck145) from TX. If ya'll do it let me know and i will try to come. Would like to meet some of you folks. By the way Corey got us some bacon we need to blast on soon as deer season is over. Anyways give me a holler and let me know when this is gonna happen.

Like hogdog said i normally would let this kinda deer go but my little 2 year old has been wanting a big buck. I am a divorced parent so everytime i get him on my weekends we go huntin. When we got to the deer he was so excited. Seeing that look and how excited he was and just the way it happened made my favorite hunt ever. The buck weighed 170 lbs had 20" main beams 8" G2's and G3's and was 15 wide. I ve killed alot bigger but this hunt and deer will always be my favorite. Because my boy and dad was there. I am thankful i have a dad like i do who will do anything for me and his grandson. By the way my dad hunted my stand on the 12th and shot an 8 point with a 17 1/4 spread 4 inch bases and 7" G2's and 5" G3's. Anyways just wanted to let everyone know and good luck and shoot straight.

Threw some roasted ham on some bread with spicey mustard and mayo with doritos on the side and gonna ease it down with some water.

Hey everyone i ain't had a chance to get on here for sometime now have been going through a pretty nasty divorce and trying to spend as much time with my 2 year old as i can. It was final about a week ago and now i am trying to get back on my feet, its gonna be rough but think i will be able to bounce back. Didn't get a chance to hunt much did most of my huntin in October during bow season and managed to shoot a good 8 point with a 16 1/4 " spread 12" G 2's, 7" G 3's been bow huntin for 6 years and that was my first deer with a bow. Then about 3 days later is when everything went south. So anyways just wanted to get on here and post.
