I went home this weekend because it was opening weekend in Indiana. My hunting didn't turn out to well. I went Sat morning and I sat in my blind because I didn't have the energy to climb that morning. It was very hot already at 6 something. I saw six long beards and that was it. I didn't see a deer the big Tom got within 13 yards of me and when i tryed to draw so he saw me. It wasn't to bad for the first hunt though. This weekend the temp is supposed to drop.

The 870 is is a very good 1 2 combo. I shoot a winchester 1200 with a smoothbore barrel on and its extremely accurate..

A few years ago thats all I was seeing was a lot of spikes. Then they disappeared and i started seeing a lot of bucks. It could just be the year or the nutrition wasn't great this year

What a deer good luck with that one. I would guess 150s- to maybe low 160s. You really can't tell what kind of deductions it would get.
