As the season goes on & the hens get breed. Do the Toms respond better to calls. Right now in central Indiana Toms gobble good on roost & for a short period after hitting ground, after that it's tight lipped till roost. I think the Toms are roosting very near hens & soon as they hit the ground they stay hen'd up. Even the younger Jakes traveling together won't sound off in the late morning or afternoon. any words of advice???
