  2. I think you are fine just spray down good before you go in the biggest thing that spooks a buck out of the territory is if they smell ya.... but he should still be there good luck ! shoot'em
  3. Wow first one good job man and nice buck !
  4. Patience thats why they get so big... they aren't dumb.. haha but yeah once the rut starts you get alot of bucks from surronding areas.. sit tight and shoot a big one good luck !
  5. Keep goin after him maybe he will give ya a second look
  6. Shot this buck in the 2005 shotgun season.
  7. Yeah i dont prefer alot of wind i dont think any bow hunter does but if it is windy all day deer tend to move right before dark. Maybe try a stand that you havent hunted for awhile the deer have they're pattern down and are less skittish. The buck in my pic it was windy all day he came out about 15 minutes left of shooting the wind went down and i stuck him so you never know... Good luck hunting
  8. I think you did the right thing the bigger bucks will start moving as its getting closer to the rut. And if you didnt spook him he will be around so you may get a 2nd chance.. good luck
  9. It had been windy all day and i had a feeling the deer would have been moving just before dark. So i get in the stand around 5 and dont see a thing till about 6:30. Then i see a doe walk in the food plot behind her follows 3 more does and this big brute. They are about 130yds away. After watching him for about 5mins he starts making his way to the main trail for water. I stop him about 20yds, right through the heart and is down about 50 yds away. Just a great hunt..
  10. Good luck Yeah it is fun just to see a deer of that class and to actually get a shot at him with a bow even better. To bad you didnt get him but hopefully he is still around there.. Good luck.
