  1. Dad mentioned we hadn't gotten the ground blind down from turkey season about a month ago, of course I still forgot about. : Today I set the trailcam up and remembered about the ground blind so I went to get it and found this.
  2. AWESOME SHOTS! It has also been a bad year for algae at our pond.

  4. We started off trolling around, nothing biting. So we tried casting. Cousin was jigging the fuzzy duzzit. Still no takers. We just got up to speed for more trolling when I had something slam my white guide dog. http://shop.ebay.com/guidedogtackle/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25 For the locals near southern Indiana, we were fishing Bass Lake in the Dugger unit of Greene-Sullivan. Here's the video of the catch. 37"
  5. Great pics. I just set my camera out hoping to get some deer.
  6. I'm in the market to upgrade from my point and shoot camera and get an EOS. I would like it for mainly wildlife photos, like deer and turkey out in corn fields and such. I'm looking at the Canon Rebel XS. I definately want something around the Rebel's price. Will the Rebel be good enough for what I want it for? What lenses kit will I need to reach out in the fields? Any advice appreciated, thanks in advance.
  7. Nice pics. What Canon did you get? Im looking to get a new one.
  8. I got set up around 5 yesterday evening. It had bean a really tough and frustrating season so far. The toms seem to care less about a decoy or us calling. They actually seem to avoid the decoys. So I decided I would just deer hunt them. No decoys out and no calling. I wasn't setup for a half hour or so and look over my shoulder and a tom was looking at me through the finger of woods I was sitting on. He had already busted me and he ran off. The gnats were BAD. But I was toughing it out and wanted to sit as long as I could. Finally at 7 pm, a hen comes to the field 30 yds from me. She was acting funny, walking at a good pace. She was out there for maybe a minute when I see the tom come out at the same spot the hen did. Like a buck on a hot doe, the hen was the only thing on his mind. I switched on the camera and clicked the safety off on the Benelli and the next place he was going was the smoker! ;D All self-filmed! 21lbs 22mm spurs 9" beard The video:
  9. Youth season is this weekend. We'll be sitting right there.:gunsmilie:
  10. Over the weekend we had our long overdue and much anticipated spring walleye trip with Capt Rick of Erie Quest and it was well worth the wait! We arrived Saturday afternoon and checked into a little place called "Mike's Cabin" that Capt Rick had recommended. This was the perfect place to take in Lake Erie for the first time. This is the front yard of the cabin; We met up with Capt Rick bright and early the next morning. After a brief introduction and instruction on Lake Erie walleye fishing by the Captain, we moved into the waters of Maumee Bay and it was time to fish! The wind had changed directions and the waves were kicking up about 3 feet, but it didn't take long to hear "Fish on!" My brother with a couple early 'eyes. As the morning went on, the more the winds died down and it turned into a beautiful moring on the lake, and as the Captain said; "they're hungry!" I got in on the action. My cousin with some nice ones! Dad with one of his. This is the fish that finished our limit. Talk about ending on a high note!! :clown:
