  1. Our current plight is illustrated by the relationship the Israelites had with God. They turned to God and begged to be saved, then gradually forgot who was resposible for their easy lives and success, turning to idolitry. Same with America. God said "Nebarcanezzar is my servant" and used him to crush His people. Maybe Obama is God's servant also. From the way things look Obama will get another term. This may call for patient endurance on the part of the saints or so I've read somewhere.

    Stop lights

Yep, my last near death experience on my motorcycle (it's my primary transportation) was a guy that ran a redlight. He ended up on the median missing two other vehicles before he nearly hit me.
  3. There has never been a multi-cultural country that has survived so by tolerating this you are sealing your own fate (remember the Romans?). You think it irks us? My Serbian friends who came here as refugees had the same problem and now have no country. They learned english and don't insult us by flying another flag or speaking their native language in our presence.
  4. Deport the whole family. They obviously don't want to be Americans.
  5. There are hundreds of people here that carry (we don't require a permit) and nothing crazy has happened except a guy shot himself in the penis a while back while pulling a gun out of his pants. His girlfriend left him shortly after. Go figure.
  6. dbHunter; I get exposed to unsafe gun handling on a weekly basis. From what I see it's from the general attitude of our society that "knowledge is power", so reading a book on safety is okay and "I make up my own reality" or "Everything is okay for me", so they have no discipline and are basically uncorrectable. You cannot get through this attitude easily. Some of the worse are cops who come to compete. They invariably keep their finger on the trigger when changing magazines and while moving between target arrays and they get angry when you correct them. Thank God most only come once. The ones who keep coming usually become excellent shots. So here there are only about 500 of us who would qualify. We're the ones who can "run with scissors" and do it safely. Good thing owning a firearm is a right and I can't take it from you because most of you wouldn't have one from what I see. :whip:
  7. Probably why violent crime is way down in Az (homicide down 38%) and Chicago is experiencing a bloodbath right now.
  8. This is waht happens when you use a firearm to stop what was becoming a mass murder and protect the cops too. No mainstream media will touch it. Authorities Release Information Regarding Deadly Peach House RV Park Shooting - Video
  9. Get a Glock 19. Very good reputation for reliabilty and easy to maintain. The top three affordable pistols that we use to compete because they are accurate, reliable and last are Glock, XD and the S&W M&P. If you are only going to own one get a good one.
  10. Just another lie to add to his evergrowing list. Problem is that if you tell a lie long enough and loud enough it becomes the truth. Where have I heard that before? Joseph Goebbels maybe?
  11. Here I am wringing out the new S&W 1911 Pro-Series E in 9mm. Try counting the shots at the first array on stage 4 there's 8 on 4 targets. This is a real keeper. Ons stage 2 unless you could slip a bullet through a less than 1 inch slit you needed to shot the plate rack from both sides of the barrel.
  12. The woman says its' overcast and not too hot. She's a little delirious because it's 7:00 and 90 already but not 110 yet.
  13. Anyone following Fast and Furious knows about Brian Terry the border Patrol agent killed by one of the guns from the failed Fast and Furious gunwalking operation. What I find curious is that after the shooting they had the 5 men in custody supposedly. Did they let them go or am I just confused? I believe the indictments were against Terry's killers and they picked them up almost immediately. 14. The thing that is curious is how they blamed over 30 (closer to 40 according to this article) fires now on shooting with proof that two were actually caused by shooting. Last year we had several bad fires on our border with Mexico and video surveillence showed they were started by illegals, but they got such backlash that they backed away from the statement. Shooters are beat up with scant proof. Target shooting, other firearms use blamed for starting wildfires in parched West - Environment - The Olympian - Olympia, Washington news, weather and sports
  15. Being a biker I see tons of people throwing cigarettes out the windows of cars (it's eay to spot at night when it comes bouncing by you) so maybe we should go to smokeless tobacco only as a safety precaution too.
  16. Lately the number of wildfires attributed to gunowners target practicing on federal lands has grown amazingly since 2006. Only one I know of was started by some idiot at a bachelor party (alcohol should have been the cause not the instrument used) and he will get a fine and/or jail time. This looks like a growing trend and restrictions to target shooting have already been issued in Utah. Could be a back door assault on our rights. 17. Looks like we're going back to 1960's health care at 2012 prices. It'll cost me an extra $3000.00 to $4000.00 a year if I read it correctly. I'm not gonna play.
  18. If you are familiar with the writings of Karl Marx you realize most of the Ten Points of Communism to convert from a capitalist to a communist society are nearly completed. Half of the US is dependent on the government for some service so their won't be much resistance to change. There hasn't been so far.
  19. I hear lots of people crying conspiracy theory when things come up but I believe that Google sees where this is all going as for government control. To curry favor with the Benevolent Dictator they have censored their page so you cannot shop for things like ARs. http://www.outdoorhub.com/news/google-censors-firearms-products-shopping-search-results/
  20. We always trained on bases because we wanted no one to get hurt or watch our tactics. Besides the Fast and Furious scandal was known long before it was picked up by the major media on the little blogs. Carter's Country gun stores broke the story with a press release to the major news. So don't discount the "little news".
  21. Steve's right. I've told people for years that they have progressively made criminals out of people for doing what they did legally by passing new laws for the "common good". You are breaking the law when you shoot any human silhouette or human effigy target in many states (that's why there are alternative IPSC targets) but it's not enforced so far. They would really prefer you didn't own a gun but will settle for you not knowing how to use it to defend yourself. Don't even dare shoot a target with the POTUS on it for sure.

  23. Try this one. Duluth racism ads drive some into a rage | StarTribune.com I'll try to find the article about mob beatings in Chicago too. And to answer your question about where's the outrage. Some groups that have spoken out against the government have been railroaded right into prison with very little proof of any wrongdoing except exercising the right of free speech so be careful waht you say.
  24. The wife and I are going to the Colorado High country to hunt Mulies in august. Just changed out the string and cable on my bow and shot my pins in to 60 yards. We concentrate on USPSA pistol shooting 10 months of the year though. Got two shoots this weekend. Between shooting, reloading ammo and working on my guns it's a busy time.
