Guys I need help!! I am shooting a Bass pro (Redhead) XP-32 whisker bis. rest set at 65lbs. Arrows are Carbons Gold Tip Expedition hunter 5575 w/4" feathers and 75 gr fixed muzzy's. My issue is, I increased my poundage to 70lbs to gain a little more speed, which I did. At 10 yrds it is fine. at 20 the arrows travel a bit up and left. At 30, 35 and 40+ they are flying uncontrolably way up and left. we'er talking feet not inches. Any thoughts would help, Im stumped!!:hammer1:

Giving I shot a button buck opening day of firearm and gave my buddy a call on the way to the drop off for fhfh. he asked my if I would consider giving it to a family that was in need. I told him yes and will give my nest one to fhfh. then hopfully put a third in my freezer. I do have a portion of one in my freezer from my buddies #2 deer, so I am not going without.

Great buck!! Not seeing anything that big around here.

Was out this morning and saw a total of 9 does a one six pt. The weather has been horrible since the start of firearm season. I don't mind the cold at all, it's the rain, then this wind is brutal. It doesn't seem to affect deer movement that much but boy you really have to dress for it and hunt it correctly. Monday evening, I got busted by a group of 8 does as they circled around past me, just as they were getting within steps of my shooting lane. I know it's all part of hunting and patience is key, but I am hoping that mother nature will give us a break on the wind.

opening day went out and sat all day on Saturday, I shot a button buck that I thought was a medium sized doe. My buddy shot a doe out from under a buck just before dark. Didn't even let him finish. ne was a six point that was not real happy, he jumped around pushing the doe with his head wanting her to get back up. we finally got out of our stands and headed out in the field and then he took off. It was really somthing to see

I don't think I can handle $45.00 for a meal. thats just a bit to much for me. There are nice, good places for less. TexasRH, Lonestar, I'm not big on buffet places, but not apposed to it. they always have a variety and big tables for groups?!

Calling I was in stand last Sat. morning and used all three to get a buck in close. It was a cool Indiana morning and I first used the can, the a couple of grunts, then the rattle bag, A nice little 8 pt. came running down a steep ravine behind me into the creekbed 80 yards up wind of me. he stop to look around so I grunted just loud enough for him to hear. he circled around to end up 25 yrds in front of me straight on. After seeing him and knowing there is a bigger buck around I let him walk.

I was in the stand last evening in the rain and saw e does trot across the field to a small hillside where a buck was laying in wait for them. He jumped up and chased them around on the hillside till dark. I think the rain bothered me more than the deer.

Seeing a few in NW. Clinton Co. but not the activity I was expecting. Went to Miami Co. this past Sat. morning and saw deer running all morning, small 8 pt came within 20 yds after rattling and a few grunts to bring him in. did not shoot. saw a small buck chasing does through the woods and a few does on their own.

Giving I too have gave to the food banks in Lafayette, IN in the past years. I took it to the processor listed and they said they had processed the limit of free deer. So I told them I was willing to pay for the processing so the food bank did'nt have to. The processor was shocked to say the least. He said no one had ever done that before. I was amazed that if someone had a giving heart to donate to the needy that a few $$'s would stand in their way. If God lays it on your heart to give, then give!!! Not only if it does'nt cost you anything. Besides, you will be blessed. I will be giving a deer this year as well even if I have to pay again. When I told the processor that I would pay for it, he gave me a break on the fees.

what's the best way to judge yardage during the hunt??
jbaker replied to razortec_hunter's topic in Bowhunting
I too use trees as a reference. When setting up or trimming I will step off yardages and break a branch on a nearby tree. if I am hunting a field or open area, I use the stick in ground method. -
I was shooting my bow last night and was right on. I wanted to increase my poundage so I tightened my limbs uniformly going from 61lbs to 66 lbs. Adjusted my sights to compinsate. It it right on at 20 yds. but at 30 and 40, they are traveling up and to the left. Missed the block completely high left at 40 yds with one arrow. The problem lies with the pins being not being able to adjust individualy lateraly. You have to adjust all or none. it is a redhead ring sight with the iluminus pins. Any sugestions
