  2. Very interesting, thanks for the cold hard facts
  3. its good to hear your gonna jump in the woods again. As far as the decoys, I know that both work well. I bought a pretty boy two years ago and he works well. I dont think either one is much better than the other. Both are great choices!
  4. I would continue to do what you are doing.. You wil catch a break sooner than later. Dont give up on him
  5. Just curious to see what everybody uses for broadheads when turkey hunting? What has been successful for you and why? Any suggestions?
  6. I would let it fly at green 2 from the belly
  7. I own a Scott...and love it! But go with whatever is comfortable..
  8. I plan on hunting this weekend and it looks like rain is in the forecast. I know that rain..at least showers will not hurt or throw the turkeys off their normal day, but I know they like to head to open fields to keep dry and use their eye sight as their primary defense. What are your guy's thoughts about the rain and turkeys? What are some good strategies to hunt them?
  9. Has anyone noticed the deer dropping their sheds here in Nebraska?

  11. wow what a pig! an absolute giant. Congrats
  12. Nice Buck ! I like the character
  13. I went out Friday afternoon around 1:45. With winds of 25 mph and gusts of 35. I saw the first small buck around 3:15, small fork. The next time I saw a buck was round 4:45, he was pushing a doe. he was a nice 4x4 or 4x5 with a small droptine, but he never gave me a good shot. It was about 5:00 when out stepped two doe from a shelter belt, acting a little funny, so I figured there was a buck pushing them. Sure enough out stepped this guy. He was on a trot following them and he gave me a 35 yard shot quartering away. So I let the arrow fly. This is the result.
  14. The rut is def. here! I went out tonight, and saw 8 deer. And shot a buck. All the bucks were pushing doe and swollen. Most of the doe I saw also had dark tarsals. So yea I would say its here
  15. It depends on what time of the year normally. During the rut, the deer will move as if a normal day. I went out tonight, while there was 25 mph winds with guts of 35. I saw 8 deer and shot a decent buck. So, in my opinion it depends on what time of the year it is.
