Bushnell Trail scout4.0
-
just started filming last year with a Bushnell trail scout, fairly cheap 120 cdn. Really nice day and night pics and a fast trigger speed. I actually caught a bird flying at close range past the camera. Battery life also determined by weather. The colder it is the less life. Average 125 pics per four D cell batteries. Overall a good camera!

ughh! I wish the deer hung around my area during these months, unfortunately they all herd away from here. Sucks for finding sheds:(

thanx! The first one was a 30-06 rifle kill at 27 yards with a 150 grain ballistic tip bullet, second was shotgun 2 3/4" challenger slug deer at 90 yards(2007)and the third also 2007 deer was a excalibur crossbow kill at 16 yards with a 100 grain G5 montec fixed blade. I cant wait for my 08 muzzleloader deer to come home.

like everyone else, first thought 4.5!

I hunt with a excalibur exomag and find the Easton aluminum bolts are much more consistant than carbon. Just my opinion.

awesome job, love the lip curl work, and beautiful plaque.

that is an incredible turn around time, and congrats on a beautiful buck. What a nice first deer, or for that matter any # deer.

just got an email from my taxidermist saying my deer will be ready end of June. :D It's gonna be such a long wait. But well worth it, the guy does amazing work. I'm getting the semi sneak open mouth head tilted up mount, thought Id get something different this time. Anyone else anxiously awaiting their trophy? if so what mount?

seeing a waste like that makes me feel sick. What an amazing animal, it deserved better!

Hey, I just wanted to thank everyone for all their ideas and thoughts on what could've went wrong. I drained all the oil today filled it back up with fresh oil and let it run for about half an hour. I didn't see any oil leaking anywhere, so I took it out for a boot and still no oil loss. So I'm thinking I must have overfilled it and the excess blew out the pcv valve. When I first noticed their was no oil showing on the dipstick my quad was on a bit of slope which would explain why it looked totally dry. So hopefully it was just my GOOF and my bike's ok. Again guys thanx for your opinions!

very nice, have you had him scored or weighed?
-
wow, what an awesome deer, congrats. I wish I could hunt in January.

you know chances are he probably would , now I know not to leave my deer alone with anyone!!

yeah I checked all that, everything seems fine. I'm thinking I must have overfilled the crankcase. I don't know how but I must have. I'm usually really good at double triple checking that stuff. Maybe I was jusst upset that deer season was over and my mind was somewhere else:o. apparently if overfilled it will spew out the pcv valve. Hopefully that 's all it was.

I changed the oil in my quad, went booting around on it a couple times than parked it for about a week. Next time I went to ride the quad I noticed all the plastics, under the seat and engine as well as floorboards were covered in oil. I proceeded by checking the oil level and found that the oil wasn't even showing on the dipstick. Since everything is covered in oil its really hard to pinpoint where it's coming from. The quad runs fine, and I made sure to fill it up again. I haven't had time to look at it yet and it's been freaking cold here lately so that's not helping any.

I will for sure, thanks for all your guesses

my first buck. 12 pointer shot with a 30-06 at 27 yards from a ground blind, scored 163". Still trying to top this big fella. (Quebec deer)

The sabot performed awesome and held together really well. We were able to find it in the deer when skinning. The shot wasn't the best placed , however the deer didn't go 10 yards before piling up. I was a little upset as well when I saw the chains used to lift deer. I had went inside to clean my hands from cleaning out the deer, and when I came back out my uncle had already lifted him. I made sure to check his antlers when we brought him down. They seemed fine and unmarked. But I know, not very smart!!!
