    Invisible Dog Fence

Thanks tbow and BR....can you recommend a place to buy one? There a a ton of websites advertising them for sale. Petco? We have one of those here. BR how big is your GSP? Do you think I would need extra prongs too? I'm assuming it all depends on the size of the dog, unless it's how tough the dog is and what their threshold is cause B is a big baby.
  3. Does anybody have any experience with them? My dog doesn't listen very well, at least when it comes to being off his leash and wanting to wander down the road he doesn't. I've pondered this idea now and was wondering if they work and how well they work. This is B, short for Bradley. I adopted him almost 2 years ago from the humane society (about when this pic was taken). He's a German-Shepard/Bull-Mastiff mix. He's gained about 20 lbs since this picture LOL. Just weighed in at 114 lbs a couple weeks ago.
  4. You had all day and you only made it to 38 posts!?!?!?
  5. that is really too bad to hear but I guess I can't blame you. it takes a first-hand experience of a good kill to become a REAL believer. I think that it's not just the RAGE broadheads though, I think there is a huge scepticism with any mechanical head, just because they aren't guaranteed to open everytime. whereas fixed heads are a for sure thing. Til I lose a deer I'll keep using em.
  6. VERY near future. the time is going by too fast, a couple people even think ashley will have the baby early. Oh....a memorable time....ummmmm....One night I went into the chat room and Hunt or be Hunted (jeremy) and Fawn09 were in chatting with Doog3. Doog was asking them if they did their homework and did their chores and stuff like that so I said "are you guys related?" And they all 3 said yes, we're brother and sister (jeremy and Fawn09) and Doog3 is our mother! I totally believed them for the remainder of our chat that night! Dooped me big time. LOL I guess we're all family here though right?

    New Job

Started a new job today, working on a press that stamps the ink on greeting cards and then stuffs the card and any inserts into an envelope and seals it. Working 8am to 8pm mon-sat for sure with the possibility of working on Sunday too. Only a seasonal gig but the time and a half is $15/hour so the potential to make some good money for christmas is there.
  8. Was hunting my usual tree stand on Saturday night and 1 lonely doe came out of the woods to the west and milled around under my stand for about 5 minutes when all of a sudden she stiffens up and starts staring to the east (up the field) 3 months ago I would not have known what that meant but that night, I knew exactly what it meant. From all the way across the field, a nice 8-pointer came running to the doe. Stopped a little ways out and just watched her for a minute. It was funny how he ran to the west like he was going to go into the woods and then ran back over to her! I thought "what the..." He never got too close to her or me and eventually took off into the woods to the west. My first personal experience of "the rut" and it was exciting. Plus, it proves that they are still out there, just really good at playing hide and seek lol
  9. Seems all over the country the deer are disappearing.
  10. LOL I questioned it too! Great buck for your first bow buck! Congratulations!
  11. Sorry to hear that Kyle, and I really thought you were a believer
  12. LOL! morons. I look forward to reaching your level of stupidity guys! LOL

  15. Indeed, welcome to the forums, please let us know if you find him.
  16. Makes me happy to be hunting in WI
  17. Good luck Ruth! I don't have any good advice to tell you, but I hope you get him!
  18. 1. That's a very bad choice of shot placement, unethical and irresponsible. 2. If you hit 1 lung, the deer will die, shouldn't go too far before it croaks. 3. HORRIBLE decision on shot placement. 4. You probably didn't hit a lung. 5. Learn from this experience and make sure the deer is broadside or quartering away before you let an arrow go.
  19. I shoot a Martin Magnum Tracer, bought it used from the shop above Field Logic, and like missilelock said, every deer I point at is dead.
  20. Don't let one bad broadhead spoil your RAGE 2-blade experience. They really are devastating and will deploy on contact. Here's what you do, write a letter, or make a call to the company on the package and send the broadhead back, tell em it did not work for you and you are not satisfied. Meanwhile, you should have 2 unused broadheads, before heading out into the field, check to make sure that the blades on them move smoothly and are not bent at all. If they do move freely and unrestricted then hit the woods and give em another shot, I promise you won't be disappointed again.
  21. May be true, but there was only one stud in the woods you were in tonight, and he didn't offer you a shot....such a sad thing.
  22. You're going to want to open it with Microsoft Works or Microsoft Word. Adobe Reader works well also.
