  1. 33yds on a whitetail 2 years ago. Don't plan on taking anything over 40yds but I DO have my fifth pin set at 50yds. ps. don't mind HoosierHunter....he's a sourpuss that's too opinionated [or rather perfectly opinionated for an online forum] Being your first year I wouldn't shoot over 20yds if possible, but good luck either way.

    Time

that depends on what time of year you're hunting and where you're hunting. It's usually a good idea to check your rules & regs book too. Otherwise, early morning and late evening are when I see deer on their feet the most.
  3. 2007 Diamond Victory.....a bit heavy but it gets the job done. Would like to eventually get the Hoyt Alphamax 32.
  4. So we can send you our team name request. Thanks.
  5. Redneck's inbox is full....can't send him anymore private messages to ask for a name change. Got pics of 2 really nice bucks over the Labor Day weekend, countdown is 11 days Man am I getting excited to climb that tree. I'm using 2-blade RAGE broadheads, and a Diamond Victory, what's everybody else equipping??
  6. Checking in. 9/15/12 is bow opener for Wisconsin. +1 Buckaneers [Name doesn't matter to me either]
  7. LOL! ooops....can we redo the draft? I forgot! j/k
  8. That's what I shot on my last bow as well and I liked it a lot. My new bow came with a 5-pin vertical trophy ridge site. To be honest i kinda miss my horizontal sight, I've noticed the pins will "bunch up" on me at times too. Glad you posted this cause now I think I will look at new sights lol.
  9. Ok, but if I bought the quick connect w/carabiner could I use it with this vest?
  10. Ruth, does the vest have the strap and hook that go on the tree?
  11. [h=2]There was a problem[/h] This league is not registered in this game. (Error #272) That's after I put in the username and pw...
  12. Really looking forward to having Ashley with me in the woods on opening morning.
  13. Sorry, my first RT FF year, what site are we doing it through?
  14. Cool, might want to get on that then, lol, let me know if you need any help, I can dedicate some time as well.
  15. I think that even though the price is ridiculously low, that it would be smart to pay more for a gun with a good reputation.
  16. Anybody own any of these pistols? Buds Guns has one for under $200 but I don't know if it's a waste of money or not, sure seems pretty cheap. Ashley and I took the concealed carry course a year or two ago and with all the stupid shootings going on around the country I think it might be time to arm ourselves. Not to mention the looming threat of losing our 2nd amendment right to bear arms. Anyways....opinions on Hi-Point welcome. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/268/products_id/56880/Handguns/Hi-Point
  17. Those tree lounges just don't seem to be appropriate for bowhunting. Don't get me wrong, they're dang comfortable, but you sit so low you're practically laying down, and then to try and sit up to make a proper shot on a deer seems a little awkward. Maybe it's just me being picky, but I think shopping next weekend sounds like a good plan
  18. I think that'll be my job.
  19. Brought Breylen to our walk through 3-d course today. His bow isn't officially set-up or anything, it's just something I saw at Goodwill awhile back and picked it up for a couple bucks (no pun intended). So anyways, once I pulled it back with him, he was able to hold at the let-off point. You can see him release all on his own and kind of jerk a little bit, pretty cute. Actually pretty proud of him so far [video=youtube;eyOS-Rw5aEM]
  20. +1 Just teasing! Welcome again.
  21. That's a good deal, definitely. Haven't gotten into using climbers much over the past few years, probably because I'm spoiled by Martin and get to hang permanent stands at the farm. There was a Bone Collector stand at Wal-Mart last year, I think it was around $89.99 with x-large platform, arm rests and instead of a spinning seat it had 3 straps running underneath the seat pad, pretty comfortable but sort of limits radius with a bow for obvious reasons.
  22. Haha I think this is awesome, the idea/concept might be a little ahead of it's time though. I'd try it out if they offered it for Android phones, but it'd have to be free, at least for a trial period or something. Nothing wrong with my old-fashioned 5-pin for now. +1 for flashlight app also....and the YouVersion Bible app.
