  1. i also use guide series rain gear. Water proof and quiet.
  2. Post as many pics as you want. They do not have to look if they do not want. i love seeing new pics wherever they are posted.
  3. It is always fun at this time of year to drive around and see all the wildlife out. Antlers up here in WI started dropping in early December for last two years. A lot of antlerless bucks were killed in antlerless only hunts. It is a shame.
  4. Okay round if your shot is perfect everytime. However I do not think I would use it on any size bear. I have tracked other peoples wounded bears in the dark on my hands and knees. Not all that much fun. Bears hide is thicker and aiming point can be difficult to see. Doesn't take much to miss a bears vitals. they are tucked up pretty good behind their shoulders and no way a .243 will penetrate a bears shoulder consistantly.
  5. One picture is better than no pictures. Especially of a whitetail of that calibur. Hope he shows you something other than his backside next time.
  6. Trail cams are a great new tool. You can learn a lot from them anytime of year. Keep writing
  7. Hunting should be open on all land including public hunting lands everyday of the week during any hunting season that is going on. The so called hikers that say that they are worried about getting shot, probably never set foot in those areas anytime close to the hunting times. Good luck with the anti's
  8. I think that is Paul Bunyan's Blue ox in disguise
  9. awesome deer keep shootin straight
  10. The fish and wildlife took two out last year. We cannot shoot them for fear of death by DNR. It is rummored that there is a pack of twelve. 2nd biggest in state. I wish to discourage them , but catch 22 is I am trying to attract deer and that inturn attracts wolves. Local farmers who will remain nameless have taken some matters into there own hands. I am not willing to do that. We have great deer when wolves are not present. They are starting to lose fear. I have literally walked straight towards one, until coming about 20 yards before it ran.
  11. In the deer season of '08. The deer were in rut and everything was looking good for the opening of WI gun season. Deer were moving in the a.m. However they just stopped. The next day there were at least four different wolf tracks in the snow. We ended up seeing 3 of them. They just killed the season. The so called experts say that they do not affect the deer herd all that much. However in a past year, one of my guys shot a doe bowhunting and before we found it. no more than 3 hours later, there was nothing left of it. I am always finding deer that are killed by wolves. They are getting so bad that they are starting to take livestock. It is time something is done!
