If you get to hunt quite a bit during a long season, why hunt in a down pour? Deer do not move in pouring rain. Just before and right after, yes. During breaks in the rain, yes. During a light drizzle, yes. Around here, in Missouri, once Oct. 31st gets here, I will be in the tree stand from daylight til dark, come **** or high water, til firearms season starts in mid-November. Until then, I DO NOT hunt mornings. There are a lot of reasons not to,sleeping in is not one of them. if you can ONLY hunt mornings, then by all means go ahead. Or if you only hunt weekends and you want to get in as much time as possible go ahead. But if you hunt the mornings, everyday during early season the deer will have you patterned quicker than you can say Jack Robinson. Some people may disagree with these statements, but my track record of huntin SMALL properties successfully, nearly all of my life would say otherwise. I hope this helps you.
