  1. ohh geeze, its too much fun!! i love going out on a sunny spring or summer day and hammering some huge carp. i think you will like it alot, in fact i dont know too many people that have tried it and dont like it. i usually get between 300 and 500 carp a year
  2. i made a take down recurve at school and got all of the supplies out of the bingham projects catalog
  3. i usually shhoot for about an hour a day, not sure how many arrows that is though.
  4. i have leupold scopes on all of my rifles except the 44 mag and love every one
  5. look on google or something like that for a site that shows you how to make snares. its sooo much cheaper to make your own and its easy too
  6. no way! its never too early to start thinking about hunting. i already miss sitting out in a cold blind and its only been about a month and a half.
  7. haha they deleted my comment on there too! they just love to tell everyone else what they think but when someone who doesnt quite agree with them they delete the comment hahahaha. if they only knew !:hammer1:
  8. just do what you normally do in the day, just be sure to have a really good light and be alert. they can sneak up on you like ya wouldnt imagine. this is what i do
  9. WOW. who ever made that site and puts those hunter names on there needs to either get a job or get off there asses and outa there parents basement. this is a bunch of bull you know what. nothing makes me more angry then do-gooder animal rights people, they must have absolutly no brain in theyre head, because they obviously dont know what they are talking about. UUUUGGGGGHHHH!!!!! THIS GETS ME GOING I TELL YOU WHAT!!!
  10. i own a maverick 88 and i love it. its got matte finish and synthetic stock. 28" barrel with removable chokes. and the barrels and chokes and accesories interchange between the 88 and 500. the maverick is made by mossberg.
  11. i use just about all traps put there except coon cuffs, because they're too expensive and i get traps stolen tooooo often. i use 1s, 11/2s,2s, 3s, 11 LS, and i also have a few MB 650 and 750s. i use snares occasionaly but i dont have the best luck with em. i also use 110, 120, 160, 220, and 330s for water trapping.
  12. i know what you mean about it being addictive Dakota, i started a few years ago and trapping was all i wanted to do. But i guess since i started this one i should probably share my info. i have been trapping for about 4 years now. I didnt trap near as much this year as i did the last few years. mainly the reason being that last year i had 18 traps stolen. i know a few were probably my fault but still.....And for what i trap and wat i have caught; i trap mink, muskrat, beaver, coyote, coon, and fox. this year i have only caught 7 coon and 2 squirrels. not a very good year compared to the rest but we all have em.
  13. I was just wondering how many trappers that are on here and what all you guys or gals trap and what are your numbers for this year?
  14. we dont have prairie dogs here, just a lot of woodchucks. my grandpa and i usually get about 35 or 40 a piece in 2 feild just behind the barn. we used to use our .243s but then we baught a .17HMR and that thing is a blast to shoot em with and the shells are cheaper. TONS OF FUN!!!!!!!!!
  15. i wouldnt say the ruger 10/22 is a tack driver but the accuracy of one deffinity is not mediocer
  16. i use 85 gr. hollow points. and with those rounds i can shoot a knat off a flys butt at 400 yds. when yotes get hit with it they freeze up and fall right there. and ive shot over 25 deer with it and only 3 have taken a step after they were hit.
  17. cant go wrong with a ruger 10/22. ther are accurate, light, affordable, costomizeable. and if the 10 rd. clip isnt enough for you, you can buy a 23 rd. banana clip and a 50 rd. drum clip.
  18. this guy has nothing to be proud of other than having a **** load of money to go to a deer ranch like this. it would be like me going out and telling everyone i put a big stalk on a cow and just walked into the cow pasture and shot one when it was walking up to me. this is like most of high school sports now, it isnt even about how good you are, its about WHO you are.
  19. if they drowned then why is there blood? couple of nice bucks tho!
  20. is this a website or something? jw because id like to join
  21. i agree with theweston, the .243 is an extremely accurate and flat shooting gun. there are always people saying thay arent big enough, and yes, maybe for a moose they arent but for whitetail, mule deer and antelope they are perfect. i shoot 85 gr. hollow points out of mine and i can hit a nat off a fly's butt at 400 yds. and almost always go through both shoulders, ive shot over 25 deer with it and only 3 have taken a step after.
  22. knight and hale makes a coon squaller. i baught one the other day havent tried it out yet tho
  23. that .243 will treat you awesome on yotes and deer also. i love my .243 and it is the flattest shooting most accurate gun ive ever known of. ive shot woodchucks at 450 yds with mine. i dont own a foxpro call because im more into mouth calling but ive heard only good things about them and also the primos electronic call too.
  24. i really like leupold scopes, i have them on all of my deer rifles except the .44. best quality and clearity i think
  25. see if you can get your hands on the new Randy Anderson calling instructional video. he is the best caller ive ever heard and has alot of success. he also makes a great line of calls by primos, if your jsut starting calling go with the " Ki-Yi" you can make sounds with it from hurt pup, to the challenge howl if your good, and cotton tail distress sounds. on the video he goes over all of his calls and how to call.
