Great story. Thanks for sharing it with us. I think that more people need to have respect for others, as well as, caring about others well being. This is why I'm a member of this site, the people.
This summer I purchased a CVA electra 50 caliber to hunt with this yr. I am confused as to when or how often do you need to clean this gun. After each shot? After 5 shots? I was shooting at the range today and started at 50 yrds, the first shot was dead in the center ring (shot from a rest), the next few were close only 2-3 inches to the right. I then moved to 100 yrds and I started hitting all over (all shot from a rest). I run some cleaning pads down the barrel, wipe it out then right around the 10 ring. Would 5 shots make such a difference? Any advise is appreciated.
I recently bought a PSE x-force and I'm having trouble deciding what kind of sight to use for the hunting season. I've always used fixed pins, but this bow shoots so flat that I could use my 20 yd pin out to 40 yds. I have all of my pins so tight that my 20 yd pin looks yellow on top and red on bottom. What would you do? Do you use a single pin sight? What is a good distance to set it?
Thanks
Joe
I would try as many as possible before you make a decision. It took me a long time to decide which bow to get, then for me it was a PSE X-Force. Take your time, each manufacturer as their positives and negatives.
Actually, you can. Once I got comfortable with it, I shot using only my twenty. The proshop where I bought the bow has a range that goes to 37 yrds and I was zippin em right in.
I agree with a lot of the people here, I recommend using slick tricks, 100 gr. Last season, I shot a deer. The deer was quatering away from me, but the slick trick blew right through the opposite shoulder. Awesome penetration!
Bought a new bow today. Decided on a PSE x-force. Man is this thing fast. I have a 28" draw and it is set at 70lbs. My arrow weight is over 400 grains and it still shot 300+ fps. I was amazed! Has anybody tried this bow?
